    What PTCGO Does Right

    Posted: 05 Jun 2020 07:34 AM PDT

We have many valid complaints about this game, and it seems the devs' hands are tied when it comes to talking to us. But in case they read this sub, I'd like to show them some appreciation because there are many things that this game does really well, and they should be complimented for it.

    Execution of Card Effects

With all the complexity and variety in the thousands of cards available, it's amazing that the game functions so well with very few glitches. Every little detail of a card's effect is represented, especially the psychic types that bend the rules in every way possible. The fact that the devs were able to capture all this in such detail is amazing.

    Visual Representation of Information

The players are always able to see which cards are being affected by effects, whether it be the discard pile, prize cards, lost zone, etc. This game does a great job showing us what's happening, even if we're unfamiliar with a card's effects. This is done through effects pointing to every aspect being affected, screen shaking, and lots of other things.

    Real-World Integration

With a few exceptions, our real-world card products are always integrated into the Online game. If you buy a new deck, booster pack, tin, etc, you can count on getting those products in-game. This really helps bridge the gap between online and offline, and let's not forget that other big TCGs don't have this.

    Matchmaking

The speed of getting into new games is very fast. While it doesn't have a rematch feature, I still appreciate that I can get into a new game less than 30 seconds after ending the last one. Even if we can't see our ranking in-game, I always feel like my opponent is a similar skill level.

    Rewarding Single Player

The single player in this game is great. You're constantly given rewards for playing it, and it has a good difficulty curve for new players. It's very inviting and well done.

A new player of the ptcgo

    Posted: 04 Jun 2020 06:27 PM PDT

I just started playing the ptcgo and I love it. What is the best way to get good deck to be able to compete with the meta. I don't have any codes or anything. Is there any other way to get meta decks.

    Confused??

    Posted: 04 Jun 2020 06:03 PM PDT

How is the "Overall Wins" on the right in Deck Manager calculated? It never seems to be right, sad because I would like to see the win rate for each of my decks, whether for ladder versus, tourneys, or both.

    Zacian V Tin Question?

    Posted: 04 Jun 2020 06:54 PM PDT

How many Zacian V's does it come with (online). I've heard it comes with a "deck" and one code gets you one tradable and one untradable Zacian V. Help please?

Why is Dragapult Vmax putting damage counters on my active pokemon after I attack?

    Posted: 04 Jun 2020 03:55 PM PDT

This may be stupid question but I attacked a Dragapult Vmax with zacian and multiple times during the game it put 40 damage counters on my active pokemon. This is after putting 50 damage on my pokemon with it's attack during it's turn. The player had no tools and no pokemon with abilities in play. Is this a glitch or am I missing something. I can post the game log if necessary. Thanks!

    Packs won't appear

    Posted: 05 Jun 2020 12:23 AM PDT

I haven't been playing the online game long, but i got a daily reward that was worth 5 booster packs. I redeemed but they weren't added to my account. I then realised I hadn't completed the last tutorial level, so i did that and those reward packs weren't added either.

Is it even possible to compete with out buying codes or packs?

    Posted: 04 Jun 2020 05:40 PM PDT

I had a friend who went to world's awhile back and we got into the online when plasma freeze was out.

I took a long hiatus but have been back for a year. But I don't want to buy packs or codes. I saved up points bought the right theme decks pulled packs when I could but it's never enough to keep up.

It's also annoying I can't trade anything other than stuff I purchased outside the online game.

Ever since the V and Vmaxs came in I have one like maybe 5 games and can't seem to ever get enough cards to keep up.

This is meant as more of a vent than a complaint.

    Cheapest BROKEN deck!! (Standard)

    Deck List: https://pastebin.com/JcGAAFdD

Should cost around 4-5 packs to get all the cards, and has favourable matchups against most meta decks like pikarom, zacian combo, blacephalon, fire box, etc. Kinda struggles with Dragapult, but I don't see that much on ladder anyways. Comment below on your success!

    Ultra Necrozma Decks Overused

    Posted: 04 Jun 2020 11:31 AM PDT

I get it, it's a potent combination that works and is legal in expanded. But dude, just between last night and this morning I've played against over 20 different people with the same "Ultra Necrozma and Silent Lab" combination. It sucks all the fun out of the game. If I can call your cards before you play them, it's overused and a cheap win. Not sorry at all. I can take a loss and genuinely respect those who go extra lengths to create interesting and unique combinations. But when there's an overwhelming amount of players using the same one (Ultra Necrozma, Death March etc.) it's difficult not to get frustrated. I have gotten to the point where I will instantly block a player and quit.
