30 DAA packs + 25k tokens - What should I do with them?

    Posted: 10 Nov 2020 06:44 AM PST

Hey everybody, I'm looking for some advice on what I should spend my 30 DAA packs and the 25k tokens I've been saving for VV.

Should I trade packs for a Crobat V and spend the the tokens on VV packs when they're released?

    Thanks!

    Burned out on Fire Types

    Posted: 09 Nov 2020 04:14 PM PST

Relative newbie to the game. Been a longtime fan of the main series, but never properly tried the card game until last month, which I'm having an absolute ball with.

Now I don't consider myself much of a meta chaser. I bought in because a friend told me that there is a decently competitive deck in standard that uses two of my favorite Pokemon (Lucario [with Melmettle as a bonus] and Zacian). It's a great deck with a decent win rate, but I've hit a rut where what feels like 2 in every 3 decks I'm up against is Charizard & Reshiram/Braixen. And it's getting a little exhausting to lose a coin flip, discover they gave my T1 anyways, and then see Volaneon hit the table. No matter how strong my opening hand is, no matter how well I sequence my plays, it's a lost game from the word go.

Now with all my complaining aside, I'm looking to build my next deck soon, and I was wondering if there were any deck lists in the wild that are a strong matchup here. Recommendations for decks that can even just go 50/50 would be much appreciated!

TLDR; Deck is x2 weak to fire and all I'm getting paired against is Charizard and Reshiram decks. Looking for deck recommends that are decent in that matchup

    Theme Deck Guides?

    Posted: 09 Nov 2020 05:36 PM PST

i've recently been getting back into the ptcgo as i now have a laptop that can handle running it. I've been playing imperial command to counter the charizard deck but youtube hasn't been a lot of help with learning to play newer themes. i just bought galar darmanitan and it seems... sucky?

I just played a game where my opponent wasn’t attacking me before I realized why.

    Posted: 09 Nov 2020 01:41 PM PST

I had knocked out 3 of their Pokémon and was wondering why they weren't really doing anything. They had no energy attached to any of their Pokémon, and they never really tried looking for any energy. That's when I realized they were just trying to complete a daily challenge. They were trying to evolve their grass type Pokémon lol. Once I realized this I stopped attacking and they just evolved their Pokémon until they eventually conceded lol.

Nothing special I just thought it was funny.

Must have cards in a Standard deck?

    Posted: 09 Nov 2020 12:10 PM PST

I'm fairly new to the game, and I'd like to get into deckbuilding soon. I'm saving up my packs to trade, so I just need to know what cards should be my top priority to get? Cards that go in most/all decks? At least 4-5 examples so I know what to focus on at first. Thank you.
