Most Toxic Deck Ever: I’ve been playing on and off for a few years and nightmarch was the worst deck to play against. Hitting 180 on turn 1 was insane since you always won the 2:1 prize exchange. What’s the most toxic deck in your opinion?

Looking to build a poison deck

    Posted: 26 Jun 2021 09:20 AM PDT

Hey everyone, I've been playing for a bit and recently got help setting up an Urshifu deck and it absolutely stomps. I've recently been seeing more poison decks out there and unless you're set up with switch or heals, it really works. Could you all help me to build the best poison deck possible?

First time winning against a Togekiss deck in Expanded. Sure, I've lost to to this deck probably 50 other times, but it's the little things that count.

So I got this little gem in a locked pack. I'm interested in trying old metas. Where?

I've been reading and watching videos about old metas, and BW is one of the few you can play in TCGO. Do you know of any tournaments and/or online communities to play this meta? :D

    Thank you in advance

OK, Shadow Rider Calyrex is a bit of a problem

    Posted: 25 Jun 2021 12:47 PM PDT

I'm not a great player by any means, but I just build this Shadow Rider deck like two hours ago and it is busted beyond belief. It just bulldozes opponents. It is pretty much impossible for opponents to keep up unless you brick early. I initially thought that Eternatus would at least be an autoloss, but it most certainly isn't with Galarian Zapdos V, which I think almost all Shadow Rider decks run.

I guess it loses a bit when Gengar & Mimikyu rotates, but Shadow Rider by itself is so ridiculous that it will probably stay tier 1 for the entirety of its stay in standard.

It suffers from part of the same problem that ADP had. ADP had a game-breaking GX-attack coupled with a very strong energy accelerating attack that did just enough damage to knock out Dedenne's and Crobats by itself. Had ADP had a worse attack it would have been far more balanced. Shadow Rider likewise has a game-breakingly good ability coupled with the potential for one shot knockouts of VMAX's. This is NUTS. One-shotting VMAX's is pretty hard in the first place, so to couple that with the best ability in the game is a bit stupid.

I also fear that we are already pushing towards a one-shotting meta again even with VMAX's and wasn't the whole point of VMAX's to slow the game down a bit and make it more of a two-shot meta?

Oh, and a further problem is that the deck is SUPER easy to play. It infact feels like playing a game on easy mode. Huge energy acceleration and draw. Huge attacks. No difficult decisions. At least decks like Pikarom involved some skill.

    Gardevoir VMAX

    Posted: 25 Jun 2021 03:34 PM PDT

Gardevoir has always been one of my favorite cards to play since I started in the XY era. Both M-Gardevoir EX from PRC and STS, Gardevoir GX, and Gardevoir & Sylveon GX. I was rather disappointed with Gardevoir VMAX. The Max Cure is great but trying to get set up with three attachments with little in the way of acceleration is hard and getting a second attacker set up is impossible. I had a bit more success in Expanded with Malamar FLI and Dimension Valley but it struggled to be consistent.

Chilling Reign has made such a difference. Gardevoir VMAX uses many of the same tools as Dragapult VMAX deck I've been playing with. In my experience I have found running less than four copies of Cresslia, Gardevoir V/VMAX, and Fog Crystal greatly hinders consistency. In an ideal set up you go second (which is fairly easy in most match ups aside from Victini VMAX or SR Calyrex) with Cresslia in the active and a Gardevoir V (or two) on the bench. By T2 it is easy to start hitting for 180. Aside from Eternatus VMAX with a Big Charm equipped Gardevoir VMAX can 2HKO anything in the current meta ( I've been considering running a single Galarian Zigzagoon or Tool Scrapper to help with this one problem). On top of that the 50 heal from Max Cure means Gardevoir VMAX can usually soak up 3-4 attacks before going down. When paired with Mallow and Lana it starts to feel a bit unfair.

Given the number of attacks Gardevoir can take readying a second one on the bench wasn't impossible but it wasn't consistent. Crushing Hammer, Intellion VMAX, Team Yell Grunt, etc or poor draws would kill the momentum leaving it easy to be swept mid to late game after a promising start. Rose proved to be just the card this deck needed. It always comes as a surprise. My first attacker gets KOed, I sent the second Gardevoir up with no attachments and it seems like a lose. The manual attachment and the two from Rose feels like it comes out of nowhere. Losing your hand is hard (though Mewtwo UNB can set you up next turn for a full hand) but given how the opponent likely has already taken three prizes by this point it's either lose your hand or lose the game. Rose also helps with the rare occasion that you are forced to go first losing the attachments you would normally get from Cresslia.

Lastly, the two Weakness Guard Energy are for Zacian V/ADPZ/Metal Box. Those matches are still unfavorable though and I am considering cutting them for Horror Energy.

Any feedback would be appreciated, I am really happy to have made this into a playable deck. The aforementioned struggle is a pain. Unsure how to make that matchup for favorable. Victini VMAX is a bit hard too as it also prefers to go second and can 2HKO back.

The deck started because I really liked Zarude, so I traded for them (probably overpaying bc impulse buy lol). It went through many iterations until I stumbled uppon Decidueye. I was thinking of getting some Voltage Beat Rillaboom to use as attackers, but until then I was playing Rapid Strike Rillaboom alongside Decidueye.

Due to the high number of V's played (specially in the lower part of the ladder, where there are many "everyRareI'vePulled" decks), I found myself prioritizing Decidueye as main attacker most games, so I thought maybe that was a better way to go. To compleat the poke line-up, I trew in Oricorio and Zacian as card draw pokemon, and Stunfisk because... well, I had it I guess. It does work as an opener. Also, I decided Zacian was worth the energy replacements after some testing.

Oricorio and Stunfisk are the mons I'm most willing to change. Obvious replacements are crobat and dedenne, ofc. But I'm wondering if the main plan of Decidueye-Zarude, and attack with Zacian if able sounds good enough for some fun games? not really trying to get into events with this plan (unless y'all suggest otherwise), but still wondering if seems like a solid idea.

If the Main Plan sounds good enough, I think i could really use some help with the trainer cards. Many are 1x because that's what i have, but others are few because I figure Skyla could do a lot of work finding the right thing at the right moment. After all, that's the beauty of tutors. I still think the numbers are sketchy so any help is appreciated!

Thanks a lot, and sorry if formating isn't ideal. I'm new to reddit, too.

    Vivid Voltage Worth anything?

    Posted: 25 Jun 2021 09:35 AM PDT

Hey Guys, I was able to get ahold of a full booster box of vivid voltage, (containing 36 codes.)

I wanted to know what I could invest those packs into. I know Vivid Voltage has lost a ton of its value, so I'm pretty conflicted on what to do.

Honestly, how good is Pharamosa GX?

    Posted: 25 Jun 2021 10:31 PM PDT

As an eternatus player, i scoop as soon as i see an unown, plus power ect. just to save time. Iv been considering investing in making this deck, but after wasting time/packs on AFP ultra necrozma and dark box im a little hesitant. Been seeing this deck a lot more lately and wonder how it dose in the mirror match. dose the person who flipped tails just auto loose?

Recovered my old PTGO Account & now have 2 accounts; What do I do?

    Posted: 25 Jun 2021 12:08 PM PDT

I started playing PTGO on a new account a few weeks ago and managed to build up some good cards; however, I knew I had an old Trainer Club/PTCGO account from when I was a kid. I was able to retreive it and it has a lot of good and old cards on it. As it is against ToS to maintain two seperate PTCGO accounts, I was wondering is there was a way to transder cards from my old account to my new one.

Would trading the cards between the two once get me banned, even if I stopped using the old account after? It would suck to loose all my old cards.

    Deck simulator website/app?
