    CR Trade Suggestions

    Posted: 15 Aug 2021 06:23 AM PDT

Hey all, I think this topic comes up every set release but I am trying to maximize value. I have 100+ CR packs that I want to trade before they lose value when ES drops. Any recommendations on what cards will hold value the best over the transition?

Are there any viable decks that don't require crazy cards that are hard to pull

    Posted: 15 Aug 2021 04:55 AM PDT

I've tried to create my own decks but I haven't played ptgc since the og days so I don't have a ton of cards in the online game Is there a less card intensive deck that I can use that's actually viable in the game (I have alot of cards just not an or enough for the top decks that everyone played)

    RS Urshifu FT: Melony

    Posted: 15 Aug 2021 08:35 AM PDT

So the goal of this deck is to just 'G-Max Rapid Flow' 3 times and try to win the game.So mew is a very huge problem so we are playing 2 boss but if they are playing 2 mew we basically are in a very very very bad spot. Also, feel free to tech against Zam, decidueye and Shadow Rider.

Returning player here, looking to get caught up on Expanded

    Posted: 14 Aug 2021 09:43 PM PDT

Hi there, I used to play a lot of expanded in tcgo in 2016-18 and I'm looking to get back into the game after finding a friend who plays. I could use some direction on what's good in expanded to get back into the swing of things.

Oh, and is there any place I can check the value of my older packs? I have a small handful from a lot of sets (origins, evolutions, steam siege, roaring skies, etc)

Coming back after 4+ years. Tips?

    Posted: 14 Aug 2021 03:17 PM PDT

Hey, so I played PTCGO for a while until Guardians Rising came out, I opened some boosters for it but I never really played the set, but from what I understand, Tapu-Lele GX was insanely good.

Anyways, skip forward 4 years and I'm interested in playing again. I have 1248 tokens and 57 event tickets leftover. I'm looking to play standard and I have exactly 1 standard card, the Quick Ball that's being given out. Any advice on how to start building standard decks? I'm guessing the best thing for me to do is use the event tickets to play in theme tournaments to get the boosters and trade for cards? Should I buy any of the theme decks in the shop for staples? If anyone has suggestions on easy to build or budget decks I can start aiming for, that'd be great.

Also, is the VS ladder still obnoxious to get through? I remember people doing the "gentleman's agreement" or mutual conceding to get through it quicker, hope this isn't still the case.

    What cards are worth

    Posted: 14 Aug 2021 10:53 PM PDT

Is there a website that tells you the average amount of packs to cards is worth in trades. I'm trading all my full art card and need help deciding if I'm getting ripped off or now

    Rap/Sable

    Posted: 14 Aug 2021 03:42 PM PDT

I'm looking for some advice regarding a Galarian Rapidash V / Sableye V deck. My very basic premise is to load damage with Rap via Libra Horn, switch out, then go for the big knockout with Sableye.

Is this a good idea? Rapidash is my daughters Fav. Pokemon so I'd love to show her a good deck with it incorporated. I'm pretty new to this so don't have a great depth and range of knowledge of cards.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Deck options

    Posted: 14 Aug 2021 05:14 PM PDT

I'm new to the tcgo, what is a good deck in store to go with? I Googled and this reddit post came up from a year ago, suggesting relentless flame, and several others. Assuming more have come out that may overrule said decks?

Newb here: So this very cheap deck seems to work well.

    Posted: 14 Aug 2021 11:42 AM PDT

    Hello. New player here.

I started playing about a month ago and after playing theme decks most of the time I finally made the jump to standard.

I'd recently bought a physical "Gardevoir V Battle deck" so I figured I'd make the Dragapult line the cornerstone of my first deck. I traded for another two Dragapults and some assorted "all round good cards" (including four Rare Candy). I also grinded the versus reward to get a set of Dragapult V and Vmax and traded for another V.

Anyway, after getting mushed a couple of times I made some adjustments to the deck and it's been pretty smooth running from there on out. The picture is of my stats as of yesterday.

    https://preview.redd.it/oi2elrisbdh71.jpg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=484b78eb4a78a854ca92ff0f5b54cbed91e854a4

I realize that I'm probably getting paired against other new players, but people seem to be running way more expensive looking cards than I am, and remember that I'm (still) very new to the game, so I'm quite satisfied. The "normal" dragapult synergizes very well with the V/Vmax type and nothing requires more than two energy, so I'm almost always able to deal some damage.

What I guess I'm trying to say is: If you are also a new player considering getting into standard format, this deck is very cheap to put together, seems to be quite effective and you still have time to get the Dragapult V and Vmax from the versus rewards.

For the experienced players out there, a question: If you could add one or two cards to make this deck better (nothing too rare mind you, I don't have too much to trade with), what would that be?

Is Pikarom the most consistent deck for expanded tournaments?

    Posted: 14 Aug 2021 11:36 AM PDT

Yesterday I entered an expanded tournament using an ADPZ deck and faced 3 Pikaroms (lost to a well timed boss on the finals). Is it the most consistent deck for expanded? Is there a counter to it or do I have to go second and pray?

This is my ADPZ decklist so far, thinking of dropping the 2 zamazentas to add another ADP and one zacian V

    New to TCGO and Trading

    Posted: 14 Aug 2021 10:37 AM PDT

I'm a long time collector but pretty new to PTCGO and i have a few decklists that might seem fun. What is the best way to go about trading for 20-30ish cards to complete a deck? making a bunch of trades for 4 of a card, or putting out one big trade? or should i be asking for packs?

    Worth getting FA Boss' Orders?

    Posted: 14 Aug 2021 10:09 AM PDT

Boss's are going for a pretty penny. Wondering whether worth picking some FAs up, or if they'll release a cooler boss later on (or maybe reprint VS Seeker to make Boss better). Or perhaps Gio-boss will retain value like Juniper has. Giovanni is kinda lame tho. Perhaps they'll be waiting for Gio/Boss to rotate before any new FA is made.

What do you think they'll do with this card?
