Recently came back to this game, really enjoying this Sableye

TBH, he's already the boss of the game...

Is there any sort of matchmaking in versus mode, or does it just pair you with the first person it finds?

    Posted: 16 Aug 2021 08:08 AM PDT

I'm new to the game, only have a few cards apart from the 4 basic decks, and I keep getting paired with players who have full decks of nothing but legendary Pokemon and the match is over before it even starts. I was really enjoying the trainer challenges and looking forward to doing some versus, but it's been a terrible experience so far.

Should I just not play online until I get more cards?

Will ice rider vmax w/suicune v work?

    Posted: 16 Aug 2021 12:52 AM PDT

Doesn't path to the peak cancel out suicune's ability? will it still be viable in the deck or just a waste of space?

Do you think any form of Control will be viable post rotation?

    Posted: 16 Aug 2021 06:39 AM PDT

I've seen plenty of people talking about how RS Shifu, Shadow Rider, Ice Rider and Ray will be after rotation, but how will Control fare? They're going to lose both Excadrills, Lt. Surge's Strategy, JJ and Chip-Chip, so will it become unviable or will a new variant emerge?

    Which Inteleon deck?

    Posted: 16 Aug 2021 06:18 AM PDT

I've started playing online and want a solid deck. I really want to try the Inteleon deck out but am not sure if I should get the $30 Vmax league battle deck or the $13 theme deck? Do both come with full online set codes?

    Search function in ptcgo,

    Posted: 15 Aug 2021 11:22 PM PDT

How can I find pokemons with colorless energy attack?
I have done search "colorless" in search box, however, it returns pokemons with "* in attack/ ability description".

How can I find pokemons in terms of hp or attack (e.g. 90hp+, 340hp) or (e.g.130attack)?
also, many more useful searching functions? Is there a wiki or a guide?

What should I spend coins on? :)

    Posted: 15 Aug 2021 03:03 PM PDT

Okay so I'm very new, I've just finished grinding out 500 coins for a theme deck. Which I got: Soaring Skies (love it, win a lot, do recommend).

Now I've got around 300 coins and I don't really know what to do with them. I know an option is building my own deck, but that is really overwhelming no idea where to start, so I'd appreciate some advice!

    Thanks in advance.

Is there a limit to how many unopened packs you can have?

    Posted: 15 Aug 2021 07:46 PM PDT

Hello, I haven't started playing but I have redeemed some codes from packs I've opened IRL. My computer can't handle the program so I don't have the opportunity to open any of them.

Will I hit a limit at some point or will it replace old packs with new ones as I redeem codes or can I have unlimited unopened packs?

Decks to purchase for current rotation

    Posted: 15 Aug 2021 02:54 PM PDT

    Hi all,

I'm looking to move from theme to standard and am willing to spend some $ on codes. What are the best options to get some staples post rotation? Apologies if this is answered elsewhere, I've done some searches and it seems like the information I've found is a bit outdated.

I also have ~25 tradeable packs and 3.5k coins to fill decks out as needed. I do see that you can get a number of useful cards from theme decks, a decent number of which I already own.

How to trade all items over to new account?

    Posted: 15 Aug 2021 05:13 PM PDT

I had played ptcgo for a bit a while back. My old account doesnt have much on it but it has world 2013 sleeves and 2013 coin as well as a decent card collection, which I want to transfer to a new account. I was planning on changing the email for my old account then make a new account with said email and trade stuff over. The reason for the transfer and new account is because I dont like my current username and from what I see I cant change my username. Is this possible to do and if so how would I go about doing it? Apologies if this is an obvious or dumb question.

With this newer rule of no supporter for the first turn player I'm not sure how to really touch up my now old decks.

    Posted: 15 Aug 2021 04:22 PM PDT

Not being able to Lillie or Bernadette(think that's the card) first turn has me wondering if my decks should be as supporter heavy as they used to be. I'm fine with the rule change since going first didn't really have a draw back before, but not sure how I should change my deck philosophy if at all there.

Also kinda struggling on deciding on a new standard deck. None of them should be expensive really but still kinda stuck on deciding. I certainly wouldn't mind some thoughts there too if you got them

Sableye V, love that little dude. Thinking the psychic energy damage ping +zigzag line for the setup

New Jumpluff coming this month looks fun, otherwise thinking those good intellion cards+rapid strike support?

Also like metronome Clefairy+energy control clefable. Not as far thought out on this one but it looks like some stupid fun lol. Memory capsule is about as far thought out as this is.

Does anyone even work for TCPI?

    Posted: 15 Aug 2021 11:40 PM PDT

I'm just gonna rant a little about how little TCPI does with this game even though they literally have the power to catapult this game into any direction they so desire. Do these people even play this game? Do they see what other games do these days to stay popular?

I absolutely hate the fact they could change their game with so much ease but literally decide to almost do nothing all the time.

    1. Turn 1 supporter was changed because of toxic supporters like marnie, judge, Wally, etc. As someone who wants to play archies blastoise in expanded or play decks that can take advantage of bridgittes turn 1 this is literally the worst thing they'd have done to this game. Turn 1 going 1st just feels like ass 99 percent of the time. I don't like being forced to clog benches with dedenne turn 1 just to make sure I get set up. It just feels like ass.

    2. They literally could do way more with their formats and experiment way more but they literally do fucking nothing. I'll give you an example of what I'd do for the standard format starting today. I would make certain supporters never ever rotate. N, Cynthia, colress, guzzma, Az. I would also make ultra ball and quick ball never rotate and be in every format. People are out here making their own formats like that gym leader challenge and because they allow so many different cards these crazy decks even with a bunch of stage 1 and 2s run more smoothly draw wise then our shitty standard format.

Are people really happy with the games so balance changes? Like with set releases already being widely known you can see a thing like supporters in standard is gonna be an issue for a year maybe more. You can also see they're not printing ultra ball again anytime soon so decks have to rely on evo and Pokémon communication which I just find both shitty for deck building in terms of consistency.

    Rant over
