Looking for PTCGO players who want to compete; I have a ton of in-game Cards & Packs to give away! Posted: 17 Jan 2020 01:04 PM PST I'll be hosting a few PTCGO tournaments and I'm looking for participants -- the top players win in-game prizes, and I'll be giving out additional prizes to random participants too! Here's what's coming up soon! I've done this twice before, the players seemed to enjoy it and I was able to help a lot of you out with cards/packs! What you should know: If you are interested, just leave a comment below or send me a PM. Thanks, hoping to play with you all soon! [link] [comments] |
Sadly its expanded now, but Sylveon GX decks are still so much fun! Posted: 17 Jan 2020 12:26 PM PST Picked up and constructed a Sylveon GX deck recently and I have taken it to the ladder. It has done pretty okay, at least better than I had previously expected to do. So far my largest win streak with it has been 8, but I have had multiple smaller streaks, as well as a few unlucky bad streaks (for example 7 mulligans, although I went first and used judge). I wasnt able to get my hands on two more crushing hammers, so I replaced them with 2 mellow and lana, as well as a roller skater, but regardless the deck is a lot of fun to play, constantly ripping energies makes for a lot of rage quits. Sadly I wasnt able to complete this deck when it was available in standard, but even though Im playing in expanded, the deck holds it own against the plethora of gx and tag teams have plug it up. Its quite like the usual but my deck build is: Pokemon: 8 Sun&moon Eevee x4 Sylveon GX x4 Energy: 15 Fairy x 12 Double x3 Trainers: 37 Field blower x1 Crushing hammer x2 Enhanced hammer x2 Max potion x4 Nest ball x2 Counter catcher x1 Mount Lanakila x1 Lysandre lab x1 Professor kukui x2 Plumeria x3 Team skull grunts x2 Mars x1 Roller skater x1 Judge x2 Acerola x3 Gladion x1 Guzma x2 Mallow and Lana x2 Bodybuilding dumbbells x2 Red and blue x1 Judge whistle x1 [link] [comments] |
Trading/flipping tips for newcomers? Posted: 17 Jan 2020 04:32 PM PST Im saving my tickets for theme tournaments when sword shield comes out. In the mean time Im trying to learn how to flip the packs I already have, I started with 4 cosmic eclpise packs somehow trading a little bit up by going for 3 CEC for 5 unified minds then trading those 5 UM back to 5 CEC. I ended up investing all 7 packs for a Arceus tag team I found. I use ptcgoguide.com as a reference saw it seemed like a good trade. I feel like I have been getting lucky so far with these trades and was wondering if anyone had any tips/strategies/critiques how to get better? Im sort of familiar with the meta still learning by looking at limitlesstcg but any help is appreciated. [link] [comments] |

How should I go about building a “meta” deck for standard? Posted: 17 Jan 2020 09:29 PM PST I play a good amount of theme, but I want to start to play more of the other formats. Advice on how to go about it this (what cards/packs to go after, the most efficient way to get the meta cards, what the meta is, etc) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
I bought two theme decks, but only received one copy? Posted: 17 Jan 2020 08:47 PM PST So I just bought two Mach Strike decks, but when I go into my collection I only have 1 Lucario and 2 Garchomps as if I only bought one deck.. did anyone else have this problem and is there a fix? Deck recommendations for a returning player Posted: 17 Jan 2020 04:26 PM PST Just returned to the game after a decent break. The decks I had (Buzzwole/Lycanroc and Zoroark/Garbodor) are no longer standard. I'm looking to get a new deck that should be future proof for a while (I understand SWSH is going to change a lot, but want to buy a deck- or maybe just staple cards- that will hold value until and after that). Any suggestions? Cost of the deck isn't an issue as I have enough packs for any deck. I tried looking at limitless tcg but the 'standard' decks there seem to be expanded in PTCGO. Decks I've seen that interest me are Mew3 and that's really it haha- will probably build a Zacian V deck when SWSH arrive too. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Jan 2020 04:24 PM PST Hi everyone! Built my first standard deck and I'm looking for ways to make it faster/sharper. It's a Dark Pulse deck with Sharpedos to get energy on the board quickly. It's been fun to play with, and I've had a few surprising victories, but it can be done better. Thank you for your thoughts! Pokémon - 17
Trainer Cards - 22
Energy - 21
Total Cards - 60 [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Jan 2020 10:51 AM PST How many packs should I offer for the regular art? I've got 25 COE and I can get more. Also, if I have TinaChomps that I don't use would now be the best time to trade them since it's price is a bit higher? I think it was higher a bit ago but I didn't think about trading them.
