    Best water mons on Expanded

    Posted: 26 Mar 2020 02:25 PM PDT

Although I wouldn't mind Standard. I have the trainer cards I wanted and also two Venomoth. I've been trying Lapras VMAX, Palkia GX (for acceleration) and Blastoise and Piplup GX, but I have the feeling this is not the right water box. What are the best hitting water Pokemons now?

Card Cavern Support- I emailed them abt a code I did not redeem, has this happen to other ppl as well? Will they get bck to me? It’s been abt 9 hours. Getting abit scared.

Need to make a big in game trade. Trading up to 100 sword and shield packs to try and build my meta deck.

    Posted: 26 Mar 2020 01:18 PM PDT

Correct me if my pricing is wrong, but I'd like to make a trade (also know if I'm offering to little or too much). Building the Dusknoir expanded meta. I've got up to 100 packs to trade, please take a look at this list and PM me or leave a comment here if you'd like to trade for some or all of these cards. https://limitlesstcg.com/decks/?list=3569 Edit, please note I don't need every card on that list. I don't need the Gengar tag team, or the tapu lele.

As far as trainer cards I need, 3 vs seekers, 4 quick balls, 4 battle compressors, 4 float stone, 1 weakness policy, and 3 sky field.

Can you only retreat one time per turn without the effect of a card?

    Posted: 26 Mar 2020 06:02 AM PDT

Just played a match where I swapped my Necrozma GX for my Jirachi which had an escape board attached. However I could not retreat with Jirachi that same turn. What gives?

Free codes from TPC newsletter, stopped?

    Posted: 26 Mar 2020 10:22 AM PDT

Hi all, I'm relatively new to ptcgo, started in January, when I decided to try given that I was constantly getting free codes in the news emails from the TPCI.

So when I started I could redeem 2 codes (1 that was just arrived at that moment and one from 1 month before)

But after that I never got another one

I just checked my inbox, and until that day I was consistently getting 1 every month!

    Around 26th/27th of the month

Today I got a new email indeed, but still no code..

Is that a bait/lure to get more people in, and as soon as you are, never get another code... Or what? Did any of you experience the same?

I kinda feel scammed although this doesn't make sense.. It's all for free.. But yeah, I already invested 2/3 hrs daily to try to become a bit competitive.. I was hoping those would keep coming in regularly..

    Theme Decks vs. Constructed

    Posted: 26 Mar 2020 03:15 AM PDT

I've been a free to play player for maybe a couple months now. I got about 5 of the theme decks, but haven't moved on to really looking into constructed play. From what I can tell, it appears that it's extremely difficult to get into constructed play as a free to play player vs. other games (since it doesn't appear easy to convert any of the currencies to cards directly, or at least specific cards).

This wouldn't be such a problem, but I'm frankly getting a bit tired of the theme decks. There seems to be not much actual play in them a lot of the times-it's you get your evolutions for the one or two key pokemon in your deck before your opponent and steamroll, or you don't and they roll you. A surprising few games seem to have much back and forth play.

My question is, how frequent is this in constructed? Is this just a factor of the theme decks being limited? And typically how long does it take to actually fashion a playable constructed deck?

Vmax Pokemons are not Stage 1 Pokemon

    Posted: 25 Mar 2020 11:08 PM PDT

So I just had a game where I have Evelyn (draw 4 if opponents active pokemon is a stage 1) as one of my supporters. It can't be use when Lapras Vmax is the opponent's active pokemon.

A Malamar Ex sleep lock deck with poison support. Powerful burst damage and lots of recovery in a format lacking in any gusting options. Effective against weaker opponents. Echolocation Noivern, I remember when this was a fun rogue deck back in the day. And our second nuzzle decklist and final top 8 participant. This is a pretty generic setup, but this one has the inclusion of Hooligans, a unusual and powerful card that favors fast setup, low maintenance decks. This card is powerful because with the rapid use of cards in the deck, its quite possible to handlock your opponent early in the game thus rendering them completely helpless. Just food for thought for the future.

That's all the top 8 participants in the tournament. Now we'll announce the winner for the most coin flips in a single tournament!

Question on starting new on PTCGO

    Posted: 25 Mar 2020 08:56 PM PDT

Hi, I've played PTCG IRL (southeast asia though so we're still running 2 years old format) and tried PTCGO for a bit but now I'm interested in diving into it to taste the current standard format.

I've read several guides on starting out and it's either grind the coins and events or straight buying packs right? if I want to build a decent standard deck can I buy bunch of SnS codes then open them all (are 36ish enough for all staples?) or keep them as currency to trade to actually get the cards I need? thanks!
