2290 damage with one hit! Super satisfying to watch! (Snorlax Vmax w/Buff Padding and 38 Damage counters Vs Sableye V) This wasn't done with friends! Happened in a real game!

    Posted: 17 Aug 2020 04:54 AM PDT

So my girlfriend started watching Pokémon a while back and she thinks they're rly cute and I wanna get her a deck that she will like. Basically..... anything cute tbh as long as it has a chance in winning.

PLS RECOMMEND SOME DECKLISTS OR YOUTUBE DECK REVIEWS it would mean a lot thanks!

Introducing a new subreddit for deck help - /r/PtcgoDeckHelp

    Posted: 17 Aug 2020 07:38 AM PDT

    Hi everyone.

I decided to make a subreddit for people who want help building new decks or improving their existing decks, /r/PtcgoDeckHelp. It really is geared towards newer players or players who want help making their non-meta (or even meta, it's not exclusive) decks better; expert deck builders obviously won't need such help. We will of course need expert deck builders to answer questions, though.

I'm sure some of you feel this isn't necessary, but I felt a dedicated space for deck help would be a good thing, especially since most players here seem to be experts.

Please join me at /r/PtcgoDeckHelp, and if you have any suggestions for subreddit improvements I'd be glad to hear it.

    Thank you!

Vikavolt V: Have you already experimented with it?

    Posted: 17 Aug 2020 04:53 AM PDT

So, I already built a Mad Party and a Salamence VMax deck, and now I'm looking at either Vikavolt V or Centiskorch VMax. But I'm unsure about the first. As far as I know, item lock has historically seen a lot of success, but Thunder Mountain and Electropower will be rotating soon. And althought I'm thinking about trying to participate in the Reddit tournament -which will include the rotating cards-, I also want something that will be viable post-rotation. So, what do you think? Has anyone here already tried it?

Thank you in advance for your opinions :)

    Slightly Petty Alert!

I lost to the Dragonite theme deck. What's the best counter to it? I know that Charizard is definitely the best, but it doesn't necessarily have an advantage. Any counter to it?

    Ultra Necroz, Mewbox, Trevnoir, repeat...

    Posted: 16 Aug 2020 09:11 PM PDT

Anyone already tired of this meta?

I've been playing tournaments all weekend to try to get tradable packs, and in at least 8/10 tournaments, I get stopped by one of these 3. I consider myself relatively competent, I'd say I make it past the first match well more than half the time (unless these decks are my first match), but it's getting to the point where it's just pointless to do anything but auto concede, as it's just a huge waste of time hoping that somehow they get bricked, though they never do.

When will some of these core cards rotate out?

What booster packs should I purchase if I want to both collect some cool looking cards as well as start my own deck on PTCGO?

    Posted: 17 Aug 2020 04:45 AM PDT

I am planning to purchase a booster box of pokemon cards from my local card shop and I was wondering what set I should look into if I wanted to both collect cards and get started on building a deck i could use on PTCGO.

I started playing about a week ago but i so into the game just by playing theme decks that i grinded using the in-game currency that i wanted to get into building some decks myself, any advice would be extremely helpful!

Connection issues - the only thing that makes me think on quit playing

    Posted: 16 Aug 2020 03:35 PM PDT

It has been years that this "connection w/ the server has been lost" error haunts me. First time I stopped playing for a while was back on 2017/2018 because of this crap.

I remember before that, even if we got disconnected, at least we could come back to the match, but now: lost!!! (excepting in tournaments).

Yes, my internet is just fine, I even avoid using my browser, unninstalled Skype, but I still got disconnected sometimes.

My frustration is bigger when I do my best to comeback in a game but *boom* connection lost...

Sorry for this rant. Have a good week, everyone!
