| We Hit 40,000 Subscribers on /r/ptcgo! Posted: 13 Oct 2020 05:24 PM PDT Hey all! Looks like we hit 40,000 subscribers here on /r/ptcgo within the last week or so. Things were a bit rocky at the beginning of the year (If you were here, you'll know why lol), but it looks like things are going forward full blast as usual! Thanks to everyone who joins us here daily/weekly/monthly for discussions on the Pokemon TCG Online game! We understand here on /r/ptcgo that this community has become a place for many newer players to gather during the pandemic, and share our mutual love of the game since playing IRL competitions have become almost non-existent. I would like to take a moment to share our official PTCGO Tournament subreddit: /r/ptcgoleague. Here you can find tournaments that are constantly ongoing, and join in on the next ones when they start up, which is quite frequently! It's a great place to be competitive, and partake in many tournaments that are structured in many ways that make you think outside the box with all the unique rules, and qualifications! A big shoutout to /u/Rabidragon for running the League, and keeping people engaged in a fun, safe, & competitive atmosphere. Thanks again everyone for making this an awesome community! | Posted: 14 Oct 2020 08:08 AM PDT Why do people make decks where their only function seems to be pissing off their opponent? I just fought a deck that had a trio of Wailord/Magikarp tag team and a Wailord GX. Not once did I see them play an energy, and it was just trainers that discards energy attached to your opponent, and some that you had to flip a coin and you got to discard cards from your opponent's deck based off the number of heads. This is the second time I've gone up against this kind of deck in expanded and I just want to know what possesses people to play decks that do this? I know this seems more like a rant than a discussion, but it didn't allow two flairs. [link] [comments] |
| Wanting advice on what to do with a few decks Posted: 14 Oct 2020 06:03 AM PDT So the other day I completed my pikarom deck and reshizard deck today I ended up lucking into a lot of the eternatus deck. I'm only missing 3 eternatus and 2 VMAX and one crobat from the expensive cards in the deck. After that I'm just missing 2 scoop up net 2 drill bit a black market and a spiritomb. Before I invest any of my trades again and go minus is eternatus one of the best decks to play? If so would it be worth it to try and get the stuff I need by trading the cards out of my pikarom and reshizard decks? [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 13 Oct 2020 08:40 PM PDT hi guys :) in my quest to finish some sets i've accrued 50 code cards for various sets. most of them are for sword/shield base, rebel clash, and darkness ablaze, but ive also got some for evolutions, crimson invasion, cosmic eclipse, etc etc, plus a code for the Tag Team powers collection box. i've been debating for a while on how to give these away. life's been pretty busy recently, so i could use some cheering up. this might be a reach as to if anyone will participate, but if you'd like to enter for the 50 code cards, would you please grace me with a drawing of either Grookey (my favorite pokemon) or your own favorite pokemon, either via an imgur link or other image hosting site? It can be a super quick sketch, you don't have to be artistically inclined, tbh the worse the drawing is, the better. format doesnt matter (digital/traditional/whatever). rather than feeling pressured to judge by art skills, i'm just going to enter the usernames of anyone who submits a drawing into a random selector thingy, so please don't spend a lot of time on your drawings since it will be independent of your chances of winning. i honestly just want to look at some drawings of cute pokemon, good and bad, that will make me smile. thanks to anyone who takes the time to enter. proof of my code cards existence is here: Proof although you will have to take my word for it that none have been used. in all honesty if i look harder around my home i can definitely find more unused codes, so the final number given away may be 50+. | Posted: 13 Oct 2020 07:15 PM PDT We all know,it is made to keep HGSS cards alive and all that blah, but today is just a farming machine to bots, i love legacy from the bottom of my heart, cause it is the only way to play BW format (BW cards are no match to any card post SM base set) And what annoys me the most is that devs and moderators, don't give a slightlest piece of shit about people cheating, even after PTCGO turning the main way to play during the pandemic, they should care about the whole game and not just Standard. If you take a look at the legacy's last season leaderboard you will see Nekpewar with stunning 21k, the same Nekpewar who made a video of a stallbot, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3oVHVYRPvAE, i'm sure mods have watched it, and HE IS NOT BANNED, and is not the only one, there is at least 3 brazilian bots, and thousands of players using it daily. I have to stay up until 01:00 AM to have a good match, and i play against the same boys, with the same decks (Sableye Life Dew Loop/ Durant/ Mew Prime Crustle/ Spinarak Genesect) seriously it passed good 7 years since XY first came out, it is not time to give legacy a fresh air? XY cards were made play along BW ones, why not? Maybe a seasonal queue with diverse rotations like Boundaries Crossed - Phantom Forces, honestly i don't know, but something has to be done. And if there is a game dev/master arround, if the TCGO team doesn't care about the players, at least you should care about your profit, cause this genting crap does two things, the first one, bot machines can obtain arround 9.000 coins a day, that is like 45 boosters a day, no one will ever buy a single booster pack irl having a free booster box every day, (i wouldn't), and second, a large number of bots in legacy just do it to have coins, to make unfair trades, ending have a lot of tradable boosters wich they sell in ebay, facebook, discord, twitters and their own websites, EARNING LOTS OF MONEY and not even a cent goes to TPCI. Some examples of this bots aimed to trade are Pokecoin2000 and AtherosChest, just saying. [link] [comments] |

| Why is no one trying Wailord ADP? Posted: 13 Oct 2020 02:36 PM PDT I've been having a blast playing a Wailord V deck for the past few days, only lamenting the scourge of people playing ADPZ. Just for the hell of it, I added ADP to my deck (since it requires water energy) and it's DISGUSTING. Helps you deal with 130-150 and 250-270 HP Pokemon, single prize Pokemon and all the fire decks that have popped up trying to beat ADPZ. How has no one thought of this yet? [link] [comments] |
