The best way to play Aegislash VMAX? Posted: 26 Nov 2020 03:10 AM PST I found that Aegislash ADP might be the optimal way to play Aegislash VMAX. ADP can accelerate energy to Aegislash, and helps Aegislash deal great numbers in terms of damage. If you have taken 5 prizes, Aegislash is doing 340 with altered creation, enough to OHKO an Eternatus VMAX! And before getting to that number, altered creation helps you do more damage, meaning you can take more knockouts. More knockouts equals more prizes. More prizes equals more damage. Now here's the decklist i came up with ****** Pokémon Trading Card Game Deck List ****** Pokémon - 12
Trainer Cards - 36
Energy - 12
Total Cards - 60 This seems like a pretty standard ADP list but with Aegislash VMAX. But I should explain the tool choices. Memory capsule is for the decidueye, altaria, and zamazenta v/amazing rare matchup. It allows you to have your 320 hp, but still do damage to the mentioned with Aegislash V's sonic edge attack which ignores barrier like effects. Hero's medal is an interesting choice. The way i was thinking was that ADP should be played with a 2 prize main attacker. When played with a 3 prize attacker, the opponent just needs to KO your ADP and the attacker. When youre using a 2 prize attacker, the opponent needs to knock out ADP, the attacker, and another mon. After KOing ADP and the 2 prize attacker, the opponent is vulnerable to a reset stamp to one card. With this in mind, the opponent will need to go through an ADP, an Aegislash VMAX with hero's medal, and another VMAX without the medal. If you have any other ideas on how to play Aegislash VMAX, please let me know in the comments! I am interested in how to play this card optimally. [link] [comments] |

Inteleon VMAX Arctozolt: possibly the best build of Inteleon VMAX Posted: 26 Nov 2020 02:55 AM PST I built a deck with Inteleon VMAX and Arctozolt from Darkness Ablaze. The synergy there is that inteleon puts energy back into the opponent's hand and Arctozolt makes the opponent take damage on attachment. I got a 15 win streak with this, so i wanted to share the deck list ****** Pokémon Trading Card Game Deck List ****** Pokémon - 16
Trainer Cards - 37
Energy - 7
Total Cards - 60 This deck does really well against decks like welder, hydreigon, and eternatus. Welder takes a ton of damage on attachment and is weak to water, same goes for hydreigon minus the weak to water part, and eternatus cant keep up with energy attachment. If you can set up quick enough, this deck is like an automatic win against mad party. By having two arctozolt in play, the opponent can't attack with bunnelby, meaning they need to use polteageist. This deck does have its struggles. It does poorly against decks that run energy acceleration from the discard pile or deck. By attaching energy to the field from the discard or deck, it does not activate arctozolt's ability. Examples of these kinds of decks would be coalossal, pikarom, and eggrow+rillaboom (eggrow also just heals half of the damage inteleon does with snipe shot). I would like to add more energy. It is very hard to find them since there are only 7, and i would need 6 of them to be able to fully power up 2 inteleon. I also feel it would be necessary to include a tool scrapper or two. This deck takes a big LucmetalZ. Metal goggles prevents damage from arctozolt, and snipe shot does no damage. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 25 Nov 2020 02:28 PM PST Or is anyone else all of a sudden having horrid hands? Been getting either all Pokémon and no trainers or one Pokémon and all trainers with no energy. started today, suddenly everything's unplayable [link] [comments] |
Pokemon on Twitter: "Hey Kids, Do Ya Like ADP?" Posted: 25 Nov 2020 01:21 PM PST |
Posted: 25 Nov 2020 04:33 PM PST So I am still new to the game and wondering how many viv packs it takes to trade them for a high tier deck for standard. Are there any budget ones that are good? What can you suggest? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 26 Nov 2020 03:06 AM PST I kinda wish the collection side of it was more like mtga where it caps off at 4 of a card and you can change the style of the card if you've unlocked that style. At the same time it's kinda annoying that they treat Opt from ixilan and Opt from dominaria as 2 different cards. Also mtga doesn't sort cards by Set like pokemon online does. I really just want a merging of these two systems I really want a thing where you can trade in a bunch of extra commons and stuff for more boosters. Idk [link] [comments] |

Updated Trading Guide for newbies? Have a bunch of old pack codes, now what? Posted: 25 Nov 2020 02:46 PM PST I'm new to the online game, and have approximately 20x codes each for Roaring Skies, Ancient Origins, and Fates Collides boosters (I have a bunch of old sealed tins I can crack). I've tried looked each pack up on ptcgoprices.com, and they all appear to be worth 0.2 Vivid Voltage packs each (assuming I'm reading that correctly!). Does this mean I should crack all my tins, and then make up trades where I give 4-5x of my packs for 1 Vivid Voltage, and then go from there? Any help on this front would be greatly appreciated! The trading aspect of the game is very intriguing and seems to be unique to pokemon online. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Nov 2020 09:47 AM PST Suddenly I'm not allowed to login to PTCGO. It keeps pushing me into a queue to login, and tells me I have an invalid login or password even though I've never changed it. Then when I go to reset it, I get an error on pokemon's website. Anyone else having these problems right now? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Nov 2020 01:36 PM PST Hi Somewhat returning player but still considerable noob. I've had a rough idea of what I wanted out of this deck, but i'm still struggling to get the synergies working well. I'm still running it through tests but it's not doing so great in the expanded matchups. I'm not looking for top tier but something that at least runs a reasonable win-rate. I picked out Mewtwo & Mew GX Tag as my main running pokemon with the idea of loading the bench with some decent GX/EX hitters in the same type so i'm not running multiple types of energy, along with a couple Utility Pokemon to keep healing up or energy application. Set up quickly and start hitting from turn 2. Similar vein to an ADP style I guess in that it's very much 1/2 shot KO's. Here's the current list i've got going on. Here's all the cards I drafted for testing. There's probably better options to put in for utility for sure and I feel like I could be doing more with the trainers but I feel like something's missing. I know there's a bit of inconsitency with getting Mewtwo & Mew out so I should probably look at quick ball/poke balls too. Any help is greatly appreciated [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Nov 2020 02:30 PM PST So in my few years of playing PTCGO off and on, I've enjoyed the theme deck format. And it's to my understanding that Theme is not an official format of the Pokémon TCG but, is treated as so on the online game. I just came back to playing again 3-4 weeks ago and while grinding once again on the theme format, I've noticed two outlier decks, which, I'm sure you are all aware of. The Charizard deck Relentless Flame and the Dragonite deck Soaring Storm. These decks include two very strong energy acceleration abilities on their main attackers and their isn't much downside. The decks released after these 2 decks are also pretty powerful, but, they still don't match up completely well. In Pokémon TCG, much like most card games, set rotations are implemented to keep the game fresh. But, with the PTCGO Theme format not being official, there is no rotation. Should there be? I think so. We may be destined to see these decks played forever going forward. What do you all think? Should their be a rotation? Should they begin making most theme decks up to par with these 2 going forward? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Nov 2020 01:19 PM PST I just started playing the game and i just recently got the new charizard theme deck. What other theme decks should i get? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 25 Nov 2020 10:37 AM PST Hi guys, I'm somewhat new to this game (tried it a couple years ago but let it go quickly) and apparently I need to create an account in order to open my gifts. But it seems as though the ptcgo website is in some sort of maintenance (that's what the website indicates). Is there an ETA on this or not? Thank you [link] [comments] |
Anyone make standard Shedinja work? Posted: 25 Nov 2020 09:50 AM PST I've tried welder engine with slowbro dark city and zigzagoon pings, haven't tried Garbodor but I'm wondering if anyone has figured out the right engine and support to make this work in standard. Seems impossible tbh. [link] [comments] |
