Looking for current standard deck suggestions

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 05:37 PM PDT

I came from other card games like hearthstone and mtg and I prefer controlling archetype. I am aware that the concept of aggro, midrange, control, combo doesn't directly translate from those games as pokemon tcg is somewhat different from those games. Nonetheless, I checked limitlesstcg.com and saw that decks like Oranguru Control and Bellelba & Brycen-Man Mill are out of standard. Those are the kind of deck I would like to play. I hope I can get some suggestions here for standard legal controlling decks (disruption, energy removal, milling, etc.) . It doesn't need to be top tier. Please point me to the general direction.

I have a lot of code cards available from many different sets. Got these with a Pokémon collection I bought so I have no idea if they are taken or not. If you want some, comment :)

    Singles for TCGO?

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 08:30 PM PDT

Hello! So I have multiple decks and have played irl for a couple years now but don't understand how to play online? I've always tossed out the QR code's that came with my deck.

So my questions is: How do I get singles so I can rebuild my decks digitally? If not, how do I go about doing so?

On line #100, my Marshadow & Machamp-GX was knocked out despite using Acme of Heroism GX the turn prior with 4 attached fighting energies. Why did this happen?? Was it a glitch due to using Ninja Boy earlier in the game? This cost me the game

    Help for a Beginner

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 12:16 PM PDT

Hi! I am new to PTCGO (I played a little bit when it was first released, but lost the account.) I have gotten a bunch of theme decks and a few DAA packs from tourney. I was wondering who/what are the best supports and trainer cards to prioritize as one-off-tech or as a playset. Thank you!

    How to destroy Relentless Flame?

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 11:23 AM PDT

My win/loss ratio against Relentless Flame is 20/1. Is this deck the only profitable one? Half of my opponents use it. Is there any deck that is having problems?

    I currently have decks:

    • Galarian Sirfetch'd Theme Deck
    • Rillaboom Theme Deck

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 12:06 PM PDT

Are champions path packs now worth less than daa? I just got 46 cp codes but best offers i see in trade are about 14 cp for 10 daa..

With a new set coming out so soon what do you guys think is the best i can do if i just got 46 cp and 29 hidden fates packs?

    Best Theme Deck?

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 10:51 AM PDT

I just started playing today and I managed to make 500 Coins. What theme deck should I first buy? Which one's the best overall? I have been thinking about the Rillaboom Theme or Charizard (Relentless Flame) Theme. Do I get one of either or some other deck?

EDIT: I got Soaring Storm and Relentless Flame today. The guys were right, the first 500 is the hardest to make. Thank You All!

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 09:53 AM PDT

I love it and would like to trade for it, however I can't seem to find anyone trading it and around how much it's worth. Any info on it would be appreciated :)

New player with RF and 500 coins, what’s the next theme deck(s) I should go after?

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 09:28 AM PDT

Pretty much just the title, I got into ptcgo about a week ago and I've got my hands on Relentless flame+enough coins to get another theme deck. I was thinking either the Zacian or Zamazenta decks for the trainer cards like Metal Saucer, but I'd love to hear from more experienced players!!

Edit: thanks for the advice so far! I should've mentioned I'm trying to get into standard format as well, sorry 😅
