Trainer Toolkit with FA Marnie coming out in August. Do you think it'll reduce the value of SWSH FA Marnie? And if so, when do you think we'll see the impact?

    Best “Current” Resources?

    Posted: 21 Apr 2021 06:30 AM PDT

Hi! New-ish to the PTCGO. Looking to maximize my time and efforts in the game, but have felt like there is either a lacking of current resources, such as YouTube channels or guides, on the current life of the game, for both trading/economy and card information, or I'm not looking in the right spots.

I came from (and still play) Magic: The Gathering, which I feel spoiled by because of all the user-friendly resources available to players for that game. Although, I will say that I do not play Magic Arena so the economy part will be a new introduction to me.

Long story long, can anyone share or point me in the right directions for these topics?

YouTubers I feel confident about already include Tricky Gym, Rare Candy, and AzulGG.

Thanks for looking, and have a nice day!

Any particular packs I should go for with coins?

    Posted: 20 Apr 2021 10:01 PM PDT

For a good amount of time, I went for tag team since I got a latios GX early on and thought it made sense to build a deck on. It's ok, but I would like to improve it, but most of the cards I have from packs are random GXs and Vs that are valuable but I don't need or want. What is the best one for expanded?

So I only started playing a couple of weeks ago and got a deal on some codes on ebay I didn't realise how much SR quickball was worth, still don't quite understand it tbh. I accepted this trade as it looked like a good deal to me though I have since read that the card can go for 170 packs.

    Evolution Daily Challenge Deck Skeleton

    Posted: 21 Apr 2021 03:24 AM PDT

My Daily Challenges always get stuffed up with the evolution ones. Does anybody have a good deck skeleton for these in wich I only have to fill in pokemon of the appropiate type? I just don't have the nerves to play like 5 rounds of Theme Deck.

    Thx in advance

My friend is getting into ptcgo and I'm trying to make a deck that should match their limited library

    Posted: 20 Apr 2021 06:06 PM PDT

I don't really play competitively and just make decks based on ideas I think sound funny like a full falinks deck or primary Shedinja strategy. The issue though is that they have been tested and refined over time. I'm trying to make a new deck based around Cramorant VIV (continuous gulp middle) and I swear I must be tripping because the only standard cards that let you take cards from your discard are the fishing rods. What else could I put in this?

Questions on how to get started, and first theme deck choices

    Posted: 20 Apr 2021 12:42 PM PDT

After getting rekt on expanded queue building a deck with starter cards, it seemed clear to me that theme queue is best for a newbie like me to start racking up rewards. Soon after I realized that the free mental might deck is not good enough against many other decks due to the weakness of its basic pokemons and its heavy reliance on gallade evo which is extremely inconsistent.

So which theme deck should I grab to have the best chance of winning, also what tips would you give me, as a casual spender who would probably not spend money beyond purchasing some physical packs/codes, so I can get into standard quickly?

So... a Flareon List using the other eevolutiiions. But the deck feels clunky sometimes. Need some help.

    Explaining the cards

    Lefeon

    Leafeon - For Keldeo/Blastoise

    Vaporeon

    Vaporeon - For Landurus

    Espeon

Espeon Prime - Can copy the atacks of any eevolutions in play. And i'ts not a plasma pokemon, so it can counter Silver Mirror.

    So yeah, any help?

I made this list using ideas from Rapid Strike and Single Strike lists I've seen, as well as some of my own ideas. Most of the list is self explanatory since a lot of the cards are staples or Single Strike auto-includes, but I'm mostly concerned with the quantity of each card. 3 vs 4 quickball and 3 vs 4 Urshifu V are two of the big ones that I'm not sure about. The deck feels pretty consistent overall, but it feels significantly worse when I can't use Urshifu V's laser focus on my first turn (I always choose to go second with this deck).

What are some suggestions to make this list a bit more competitive? I have done pretty well with it so far so I don't think I need to make drastic changes, but I'm new so there are a lot of cards that I am not familiar with.

    Thanks!
