    Blissey v is a powerhouse!

Quite possibly one of the most WTFFF cards out there

A Karen that I actually love. We all need to use this in tournaments to stop mad party and night March decks.

With Chilling Reign finally out, I want to take another look at my RS Luxray deck and improve with the new support. Any suggestions?

I’m making a fairy/fighting deck. Any suggestions on trainers and supporters and Pokémon I can get?

    Shadow Rider Calyrex Vmax

Will this card hold its value or will the value drop when chilling reign will be more stabilized ?

Returning Player Looking to Build a Competitive Deck; should I even try or just wait until 2022 season?

    Posted: 20 Jun 2021 10:50 PM PDT

I played this game many years ago, and am finally getting back into it. I've followed the whole theme deck route and have accumulated some packs, im looking to get some new Chilling Reign packs. However, I'm not sure if I should try and build something competitive, seeing as season is switching soon. What deck should I try and build that's future proof for 2022? Or should I just wait?

    TCGO code giveaway!

    Posted: 20 Jun 2021 03:15 PM PDT

EDIT: I'm all out of codes! thanks for participating everyone, hope you got some good pulls!!

I've accumulated quite a few TCGO codes again, so I figured I'd hold a giveaway!

    IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER:

I have no idea if some of these have been used or not, particularly codes from older sets which I found squirreled away in my house. I've already photographed everything in advance, so I am not able to send you new codes to replace ones that may have already been used. (Sorry about that!)

Most of the codes are from these sets:

    • Chilling Reign
    • Battle Styles
    • Shining Fates
    • Hidden Fates

However, I have a handful from older sets as well:

    • Vivid Voltage
    • Rebel Clash
    • Guardians Rising
    • Burning Shadows
    • Cosmic Eclipse

The first 18 people to reply will receive 3 codes apiece!

PLEASE do not PM me outside of this thread, I will ignore you. If you would like a code, reply here and I will DM you your code directly.

I'll edit this post once I'm all out of codes. Good luck everyone!!

    Post-rotation Bench Protection

    Posted: 20 Jun 2021 04:12 PM PDT

So come next rotation Mew is out of Standard format. With all these bench slamming pokémons out there I'm pretty sure they're going to have to design some type of bench protecting card or RS Urshifu & company are going to take over Standard. I just want to make this thread to speculate on what the next bench protection card might be. I'll be listing some possibilities from most to least favorable.

-A one-prize Mew/Mr. Mime clone: a new basic one-prize pokémon with a straightforward bench protecting ability you can just slap on the bench and feel safe. Mew was basically a reprint of Mr. Mime, and the original B&W - Plasma Freeze Mr. Mime himself was reissued in XY - Breakthrough, but we don't know if the card designers will want to go this route again.

-A Pokémon V with the same bench protecting ability: this would make more sense in the current format because Mew is a little bit too easy to set up. A two-prizer with the same ability would mean that even one-prize decks will have to play it, which kinda sucks, but it's a reasonable compromise.

-A Stage 1 Pokémon with a bench protection ability: this would clunk up the entire format. Not ideal.

-A Stadium that prevents bench damage for both players (like Dyna Tree Hill): this would suck because players with decks that rely on bench damage decks won't be able to play it because they'll be locking themselves out of their win condition.

-Everyone starts playing Big Parasol: sounds okay... but with Escape Rope and Boss out there, Big Parasol doesn't really do it. Also: the deck space.

-A bench protection Supporter similar to Phoebe: NO.

-Just take the L and allow your bench to be obliterated.

What's up with all the recent bot accounts that play legacy and then give up

    Posted: 20 Jun 2021 05:45 PM PDT

I really like to play legacy and I want people to actually go against but like 90% of accounts are bots then give up, it's super annoying

Is Vivid voltage the best theme deck to start for a beginner?

The one with the Charizard. Want to be somewhat competitive and have the best chance to win. Thanks.

Am I in some weird statistical outlier situation for pull rates or are you guys feeling the same pain?

    Posted: 20 Jun 2021 06:17 PM PDT

Saved up 3,400 Gold for Friday's Chilling Reign release but after ripping through 17 Chilling Reign packs, plus another 15 packs from Tourny wins since (32 Packs Total), I feel like the most unlucky guy ever only pulling 2 VMAXs (Celebi & freaking Shadow Rider Calirex VMAX!) and 0 V Pokémon. For me, this is the worst pull rate I've ever seen on this game so far. Am I in some weird statistical outlier situation or are you guys feeling the same pain?

Any good budget deck for standard or expanded that could keep up with the meta?

    Posted: 20 Jun 2021 06:16 PM PDT

I'm still new to ptcgo, I've been only playing a lot of theme decks and hopefully would try to go standard or expanded. Any suggestions for a budget deck list? And also, are there any theme decks, that are still worth buying, which contains cards that works for standard decks or should I just use my coins for booster packs?

    Thanks

    Ice rider

    Posted: 20 Jun 2021 01:48 PM PDT

Is it just me or does ice rider seem wayyyy more underwhelming than it did pre release? I was expecting it to be fairly good but right now with all the builds I've tried it just doesn't feel there yet. I can't tell if it's consistency or what. I guess it feels bad when shadow is pumping energies the whole time but even then. Idk haha lmk what you guys think!
