Does anyone know if CRE Kecleon can be metal saucered to if it has a metal energy on it?

    Posted: 21 Jul 2021 08:10 AM PDT

They actually decided to do something about the green rayquaza coin and alternate 5 card pack scams. The unobtainable green rayquaza coin is now called "Bright Green Rayquaza Coin", and the alternate 5 card packs now have different arts (shown in the image).

    Finally made an inteleon deck

    Posted: 21 Jul 2021 08:43 AM PDT

I got the battle pack thing when it dropped but have been having too much fun with my gardevior/dragapult to play anything else. Last night I got tired of losing to etern and shadow rider so I modified the lizard spy deck from what came in the mail (basically changed up some trainers, the Pokémon line up, and threw in more energy). Proceeded to go on a 10 game win streak until finally losing to another inteleon lol. I'm wondering if I should through in ice rider since I have a few from all my trade lock packs. I have the max blastoise in there right now but I only have one copy of him and v

Should Bronzong Metal Transfer be limited to once per turn?

    Posted: 21 Jul 2021 06:14 AM PDT

The ability to move energy around is pretty overpowered, you can move the energy off your damaged mon and then Cheryl/MaxPotion without losing that energy... being able to turn around and move the energy back onto that mon makes the ability broken IMO.

I feel like simply saying you can move as many energy as you want but only once... when you finish that action of moving energy you shouldn't be able to apply the ability again.

This was how Dede and Crobat solved the Shaymin problem (along with banning Shaymin outright). Just text saying "Once during your turn..." rather than "As often as you like..."

If nothing else could we at least get fewer animations for the ability... I feel like they added trigger animations in the new update.

Is it possible to post trade-locked cards in the public trade?

    Posted: 21 Jul 2021 09:23 AM PDT

I know this sounds silly, but I posted a public trade and then noticed the two cards I have on offer have padlocks. Can you still post cards even if they can't be traded? Like, did I accidentally post a trade that can't be processed?

Many blessings for you players who let fairy decks complete their challenge

    Posted: 20 Jul 2021 11:16 AM PDT

I just want to give a shout out to the few players I encounter who understand that I'm (foolishly) trying to complete the fairy challenges and hang back to let me evolve/do damage. I'm a completionist and want to get to level 30. It would be impossible without the kind people in the community.

Edit: even better are the ones who see you are using the echo deck that has ONE supporter that allows you to draw cards who purposely draw lots of cards so you can find your evolutions!

    2.81 Patch Notes | Jul. 20, 2021

    Posted: 20 Jul 2021 11:40 AM PDT

    https://forums.pokemontcg.com/topic/78528-281-patch-notes-jul-20-2021/

On July 20, 2021 the Pokémon TCG Online was updated to version 2.81. Changes in this version include:

    • Celebi V (CRE #007, 160): Leaflet Dance is now consistently affected by effects that prevent Energy cards from being attached to a Pokémon from the hand.
    • Cherrim (BST #008, BSP SWSH088): Spring Bloom is now consistently affected by effects that prevent Energy cards from being attached to a Pokémon from the hand.
    • Entei (BST #020): Heat Dash is now consistently affected by effects that prevent Energy cards from being attached to a Pokémon from the hand.
    • Frosmoth (SSH #064, RCL #204, SHF #030, SV034, BSP SWSH007): Ice Dance is now consistently affected by effects that prevent Energy cards from being attached to a Pokémon from the hand.
    • Galarian Chestplate (CRE #141): The effect no longer reduces damage that the Galarian Pokémon does to itself with its attacks.
    • Kricketune (CEC #14): Damage from Improvisational Performance is now affected by Wide Lens (ROS #95).
    • Shadow Rider Calyrex VMAX (CRE #075, 204, 205): Underworld Door is now consistently affected by effects that prevent Energy cards from being attached to a Pokémon from the hand.
    • Venomoth (PHF #2): A player affected by Dizzying Wind can no longer play more than 1 Stadium card from their hand during their turn.
    • Cards featuring a shiny Pokémon in their art should now consistently appear when the Shiny Pokémon filter is enabled.
    • Packaging images have been updated for Black & White and XY series expansions that have 2 separate 5-card booster pack items in the Collection. Each 10-card and 5-card booster pack now has a unique packaging image to help players better differentiate between these items when making or accepting trade offers. This change affects booster packs from the following expansions: Black & White—Next Destinies, Black & White—Dark Explorers, Black & White—Dragons Exalted, Black & White—Boundaries Crossed, Black & White—Plasma Storm, Black & White—Plasma Freeze, Black & White—Plasma Blast, XY, XY—Flashfire, XY—Furious Fists, XY—Phantom Forces, and XY—Primal Clash.
      • Booster packs from the Black & White, Black & White—Emerging Powers, and Black & White—Noble Victories expansions have never been made available to players in a 5-card configuration, so they have been removed from the game to further reduce player confusion.

    Soaring storm lanturn bug?

    Posted: 20 Jul 2021 01:08 PM PDT

Ever since the recent patch, I've been unable to use Lanturn's Energy Grounding ability despite the condition being met. At this point it has failed to trigger at least 5 or 6 times. Is anyone else having this bug?

Insta ban incoming for (new card) vigor shake in expanded?

    Posted: 20 Jul 2021 01:17 PM PDT

(In case you didn't know, there is an upcoming roaring skies card named Vigor Shake which reads as follows:

When you use this card, your turn ends.

Search your deck for a card that evolves from 1 of your Pokémon and put it onto that Pokémon, then shuffle your deck. You can use this card during your first turn or on a Pokémon that was put into play this turn.)

I don't know if Pokemon instabans potentially problematic cards, but having this in the same format as itemlock trevenant means a t1 itemlock going first. They've banned other cards for this exact reason before (Wally, FoGP) so I wouldn't be surprised. I kind of hope they leave it for a week or two as I loved playing Trevenant/Accelgor back in the day.

What's the standard meta like now?

    Posted: 20 Jul 2021 11:45 AM PDT

I quit the game around Rebel Clash or Darkness Ablaze, when literally every single deck on the ladder was ZADP. I remember thinking Eternatus VMax would be broken when I saw Darkness Ablaze previews and that's about everything I know about SSH meta.

What's the new best deck in format? What are some popular meta and anti meta decks? Is grass still completely irrelevant? What are the new staples now that Deddene is rotating?

Rapid Strike DUGTRIO Deck: Feedback Appreciated!

    Posted: 20 Jul 2021 02:37 PM PDT

Hello! I'm a little new with building decks on my own - when I saw the new Dugtrio card I was very intrigued and wanted to make a deck that uses it to its full potential. This is what I came up with. It also relies on RS Falinks to put out damage consistently when I'm not flipping well.

The Dugtrio card lets you flip 3 times for 60 damage each - and if you get three heads, you are immune from damage the next round!!

How can I improve this deck? Any help is greatly appreciated - thanks in advance!

For the record, my wins with this deck are 46 out of 80 games.

New to ptcgo standard - staples to collect for decks?

    Posted: 20 Jul 2021 10:50 AM PDT

Hi everyone. I've gotten into the trading card game this year as many probably have, and played some of the online game, though mostly theme only decks. I have a few cards in my collection but I don't have anything to create a standard deck that I want to venture into.

What cards are staples that will be in most decks to support a main attacker pokemon? I do have dedenne GX x2 and various trainers from packs

    many thanks
