Pokémon TCG Live ideas because it's 6AM where I live Posted: 31 Aug 2021 06:02 AM PDT Because this isn't an already done-to-death idea as is, I'm going to propose some changes, or quite frankly random ideas that I think could make a new client for PTCGO leagues better. I have only been playing for about a week, but I think at least some of these ideas are decent. #1: Cross-Platform Play: The title says it all folks. If the client is gonna be on multiple platforms (i.e. Nintendo Switch, Mobile, PC, etc.), then it seems absolutely necessary for there to be Cross-Platform via Trainer Club accounts. On the subject of multiple platforms... #2: Nintendo Switch Release: Do I even need to sell this idea? Pokémon has, unsurprisingly, done simply amazing on Switch. Having another F2P Pokémon game on Switch would simply be amazing. You could probably even have multiplayer battles locally using multiple systems with the game. Another thing that could really be cool is being able to scan the QR codes with the Right Joy-Con. #3: Story Mode: While the Trainers Challenge is a... debatably okay start to this idea, I think something more akin to the GameBoy Pokémon TCG games would just be awesome. Even a more simple story would be good enough for me. I think it would be cool if at least some of the sets got their own Clubs to represent them. While I doubt it will happen, more so then the Switch port, this would genuinely be awesome. #4: jesus christ on a bicycle update older modes to reflect the current game: Yes, this is about the Trainer Challenge. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a cool idea. The problem is that it literally is at least 6 years behind in competitive play, meaning unless you play in Unlimited or something these cards are useless. Even so, I highly doubt Pokémon from the Black and White era will serve you much any good in Unlimited. #5: Completely Overhaul the UI: im not going to even bother explaining why #6: Replace the Avatars: They just don't look great to be honest. It feels like a 2008 Flash game, not an officially licensed TCG companion app. Please, I beg you, just fix them. That's honestly it. Pokemon TCG Live speculation: Will we get the new Raid Battle gamemode? Posted: 31 Aug 2021 04:02 AM PDT Since the leak/release of the upcoming expansion Fusion Strike we know about an upcoming rebranding of Pokemon TCGO to Pokemon TCG Live. Last month we got a new coop-gamemode for physical card games introduced through the website: Raid Battles I find it interesting, that the overall style (e.g. damage counters, "simpler"/minimalist animations, overall mobile game aesthetic) is similar to the tutorial videos released in May. Maybe the tutorial videos gave us a first look at the reboot of Pokemon TCG online games, with the rebranding to Pokemon TCG Live. The rebranding would also be a great opportunity to add the coop mode in form of raid battles. An opportunity to invite your friends to help you out on them and thereby spread publicity for the game. In my opinion, just financially a mobile focused (not just iPad and a few other tablets) reboot was needed. Especially with a huge Pokemon-Fanbase on the Nintendo Switch. Coop-Play has proven functioning well for the Pokemon Company overall, with Raids being some of the biggest driver to connect and extend the community in games like Pokemon Go and Sword&Shield. It would just make sense, to promote the online TCG and introduce a bigger system for microtransactions along the way. Therefore, my speculations for Pokemon TCG Live are: Switch adaptation will also work well on Smartphones less focus on PC new, simpler, more efficient visuals Coop-Play using Raid Battles More overall features seen in other F2P-Mobile-Games, like "Battle Pass" and "Energy Rewards" seen in Pokemon Unite. We already have some of that, but not linked to any form of microtransactions, which probably has to change from a financial standpoint to improve the online TCG and unlink it in some way from physical TCG. submitted by /u/Anaeijon [link] [comments]

I do not play the game, but I just finished setting up to begin a YT channel for pack openings, collectibles, gameplay, etc. Possibly highlighting players in PTCGo as well(we'll see). We've also opened up a business to sell and distribute TCG as well as collectibles, etc. Only 1 seller in our area thats a TCG seller, and they resell typically 30% over MSRP(we want to provide MSRP prices to the public because of this absurd business practice). Anyways, I know you can buy code cards, especially on eBay. I dont want to sell them. But I do want to trade them. Is it worth to provide code cards(randomly, white or green) as a trade for YT comments/subscriptions? Win win if people find value in these. I can also provide code cards for referrals as well.
