| What's the best practice for preserving the value of tradable card packs long-term? Posted: 12 Aug 2021 07:01 AM PDT I'm a new player, but I've picked up lately that they act something like a currency that gets devalued after a new set comes out until it's antique enough for some collector. I also hear there's a new set around the corner, so I'm wondering how to "beat inflation", to stretch a metaphor. I'm still enjoying theme and not really ready to build a proper deck or desire specific cards for that deck yet, so I really just want the packs to keep being as valuable as they can be until the point that I am. What should I be trading them for? I have 2 Sword and Shield, 2 Chilling Reign, and 1 Vivid Voltage if that makes a difference, because I've also heard some sets are more popular, and therefore valuable, than others too. | Posted: 12 Aug 2021 05:06 AM PDT Damn, I traded for cards to make a Slowking Vmax deck to do the Dark type challenge, but it turns out that the way it attacks by putting poison on opponent with 12 damage counters, doesn't actually count as knocking out, even though it causes collection of prize cards.
