How to start when you don't have much of anything? Posted: 12 Nov 2019 04:47 PM PST It seems really difficult to get started without buying packs, and even then it's difficult. Especially since I'm new to this game and have no idea what is good and what is not etc. I'm kind of at a loss. Pls help! thanks [link] [comments] |

Posted: 12 Nov 2019 08:43 PM PST And I'm talking outside of the very roasted red energy supporter cards., Welder and the other guy. Today I discover Alolan Marowak: for non energy at all it gives two basic energy to your Pokémon in any way you liked. Not bad for a stage 1. Since I haven't seen anyone really using this, are other good energy accelerators? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 12 Nov 2019 09:48 PM PST I wasn't aware that TPCi was in the habit of printing cards with the phrase 'you win the game' on the front, but Arceus, Dialga, & Palkia tag team basically does. I mean, 2 energy and your attacks do more damage and you take extra prizes for the rest of the game? That's horribly under-costed! I could see an effect like that if it cost 7 energy or if ADP said 'If this pokemon is knocked out, your opponent takes 6 prize cards' or something, but I feel like it's impossible to have a good matchup against this card. If there's some magic bullet that beats it (preferably something available to 1-prize decks) let me know. Beyond that though, I think there's something to be said for games feeling fair. ADP doesn't feel fair because if you play it, you are literally playing the game with different rules than your opponent. I'll never understand why it's fun to play a deck like this (partly because I can't afford cards as expensive as that), but I definitely understand why it's un-fun to play against it. I personally think that this is bad design on the part of the pokemon TCG because of this. When, on turn 2, a player can permanently change the rules so they are at a huge advantage, it makes the game feel unfair, even if it's possible to win. I'm not sure why this made it through playtesting, but I hope it gets banned or something in the meta kills it. [link] [comments] |

What's the most efficient way to grind the ladder? Posted: 12 Nov 2019 08:31 AM PST Is there an optimal strategy? I had just enough points to get the 5 packs last time. I hit that on the last day and then gave up out of exhaustion. Now that I'm starting fresh with a new ladder, are there any tips that could help me out? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |
