| Does the price of Dede/Jirachi scare new players away from the game? Posted: 24 Apr 2020 02:28 AM PDT I am slightly concerned about the current ultra high prices of Dedenne-GX and stellar wish Jirachi. These two cards are found in the vast majority of the strongest standard decks and they aren't even one-offs. To be truly competitive in this game you'd want 3-4 copies of Jirachi and 2-3 copies of Dedenne-GX. Now, there are always going to be a few expensive staple cards in the game at any point in time, but when I started as a F2P player, the main expensive staple was Tapu Lele-GX, which at the time cost around 14 packs. You could usually get by with 2 of them, so you were looking at spending about 28 packs to get the most important consistency card in the game. But the current market price for Dedenne-GX is a whopping 52.5 packs and Jirachi is around 38 packs. So you are not looking at spending 28 packs here, but 200+ packs even if you get lucky with a few trades. I'm not sure I wouldn't have just packed it in when I started out with that barrier to entry. If you click the middle tab at the results page you're able to view your opponents deck, however there are some times when I am unable to. Does anybody know why?
