I Just Pulled out Turn 2 Supreme Puff GX!

    Posted: 20 Apr 2020 10:11 PM PDT

Anyone else despise this game but still play it daily?

    Posted: 20 Apr 2020 12:12 PM PDT

I wake up in the morning and scroll through dozens of expired trade listings over cereal.

About midday I start to work on my dailies; 11 wins shouldn't take too long, right? I fire up the ol' ZADP and get crackin'.

My first ten matches are mirrors and I mulligan at least once in every single one. When I don't, I start with Oranguru or Absol and a hand full of energy because the game's shuffles are insane. The mirrors devolve into "Find the custom catcher before your opponent". Everyone plays crushing hammer and knocks off my energies before I can get an Altered Creation off. Next match is baby Blacephalon and they dump 10 fire energies turn 2 to KO my ADP.

OK, let's try something more roguish instead! I roll out the ol' Stonjourner or Lapras Vmax, maybe Reshizard... Except now I get matched up against nothing but mill. Cincinnos left and right, gettin' Brycen-manned to oblivion and decking myself out searching for catchers to gust around the dolls. Some matches, I'm just about to clean up nicely when my opponent nails their coinflip and catchers up my 2-prizer for the win, or nails the super scoop-up; twenty minutes of play nullified by a single coin-flip.

Finally, after several hours, I've cleared the daily ladder.

"Wonderful," I say, "let's use some of these coins to buy packs!"

    Every. Pull. Is. Garbage.

And then I get up the next day and do it all over again.

I love this game, but I also hate it. Does that makes sense? Am I the only one?

How Long Will These Increased Rewards Last?

    Posted: 20 Apr 2020 11:59 PM PDT

The announcement for the double versus rewards said "for the month of April", but I'm wondering if there's any chance they extend these for awhile longer. Do you think it's likely the devs will let us keep earning double coins, or will it go back to normal after this month?

I have to admit, one of the things that has kept me logging in and playing daily has been the double rewards. If it stops, I'm not sure I'll care too much about hitting the dailies. Have they ever done things like this before? If there's a precedent, maybe we'll know what the odds are of them just making these double rewards the new normal.

How much should I pay for a Computer Search?

    Posted: 20 Apr 2020 11:12 PM PDT

On ptcgoprices it says asking is around 52 packs but on the other hand offering price is 38 .So I am a bit confused to what i should offer. I don't want to give more than required as i collected the packs over the past 3-4 weeks. Any suggestion is appreciated

    Standard sucks now

    Posted: 20 Apr 2020 04:48 PM PDT

Playing ptcgo has been awful for the last little while. Nobody plays attacking decks anymore it seems, it's some BS mill or control nearly every match. I just played 5 matches, and all of them were some type of control. 3 cincinno mill, 1 magcargo mill, and 1 beeheyem dolls. I have mew3 so I have a deck that can fairly easily win these matches but I don't just want to play that deck all the time. I enjoy playing pikarom the most, but it just doesn't really have an answer to all of the toxicity. You guys have any other decks besides mew3 that you're using to crap on these guys?

Should I wait until August to purchase anything..?

    Posted: 20 Apr 2020 03:10 PM PDT

Hey all, noob here... I actually played a little in the early days but haven't since, but I did play MTG and other games for years. Anyways, I just started playing PTCGO and I really like it so far, but I saw the new standard format ends in August so I'm wondering if I should not invest too much before then? Also, will both Sun&Moon AND Sword&Shield be rotated out or just Sun&Moon?

I still have plenty of trainer battles to do and could always dink around in themed battles or something until then. Just seems pointless to invest in a format that's changing in a matter of months.

Any helps is appreciated! Currently reading through the FAQs here but open to other helpful links. Thanks!

Raichu & Alolan Raichu with Zeroara GX deck build help

    Posted: 20 Apr 2020 10:41 PM PDT

Currently I'm running Raichu & Alolan Raichu Tag Team with Zeroara GX. Zeroara's ability lets any Pokémon with an electric energy to have no retreat cost. It's one attack does 160 but can't attack next turn. With the tag team they do 80 damage plus another 80 if they are swapped in that turn. So if all goes well I can do 160 each turn between the two cards.

Also the tag team's GX move does 150 damage or with 2 extra electric energy it does 250 damage. I usually leave that move for other tag team cards.

The other Pokémon I have just stall until I can get those two cards but I don't want to just rely on them. I would like to have other Pokémon or cards to use in case they are in my prize cards.

    Pokémon tcgo conspiracy theory

    Posted: 20 Apr 2020 03:48 PM PDT

Remoraid, Oranguru, etc love to be on the front line first turn. I made crazy experiments and even when it's so against the odds, those support Pokémon start the games more often than not. Luckily, maybe because it's a small not tough non, Jirachi tends to follow this rule too.

Twisted Mountain has no 50% chances on the coin flip. No way. I yet have to see Eevee's quick draw give a head.

Regular Hammer is better left out of my decks. Really not 50% chances.

Green decks love to pop up against my Greninja decks.

Only found the perfect anti M3 decks while playing M3 decks.

    Etc....

Yes, probably I remember the worst and forget when it all works, and yes, I saw that guys post with the coin flip odds, dadadadada.

But it's fun to believe in this.

Newby turning to this wise discourd for guidance

    Posted: 20 Apr 2020 02:17 PM PDT

Hi guys. I started playing this game online a couple of weeks ago out of pure nostalgia. I have been completing the first 2 tiers of the trainer challenge and got a lot of packs for free. Since then I've built a deck that is doing quiet good (around 70% win ratio). This is my deck:

    POKEMON 2x Charizard GX (9/68) 1x Charizard (14/181) 2x Charmeleon (8/68) 3x Charmander (7/68) 1x Charmander (11/181) 1x Growlithe (17/108) 3x Growlithe (21/214) 1x Arcanine (11/122) 2x Arcanine (22/214) 1x Snorlax (118/162) 1x Miltank (83/106) 1x Entei (14/98)

TRAINERS / SUPPORTERS 2x rare candy 1x energy search 1x ultra ball 1x cherish ball 2x evosoda 1x Pokémon communication 1x giant Hearth 2x Cheren 1x Blacksmith 2x welder 1x Bianca 2x Cilan 1x Steven 1x Rocky Helmet 2x tierno

ENERGY 2x special burning energy 2x special double colourless energy 16x fire energy

My strategy is to get at least 1 of my 2 Charizard GX's in play asap. This usually takes around 4 or 5 turns, so I mostly lose to people paying faster decks. Since i haven't spent anything on upgrades, I have around 4k coins to spend on upgrade packs. I also haven't played a tournament yet, while I'm sitting on 30tokens.

So I was hoping you guys could help me upgrade my deck to be more competitive before starting a tournament.

    Any advise is welcome.

    Thank you guys in advance!

Getting back into the game and need trainers.

    Posted: 20 Apr 2020 10:54 AM PDT

Hello all, I'm getting back into the game from about an 8 month hiatus. So I have missed about 3 sets that have released. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to do a bulk trade. I need four of every trainer(all reg art) from cosmic eclipse, hidden fees, and sword and shield. I have a about 150 packs ranging from dragons majesty to unified minds. I also have some full art cards that I'm willing to part with. I would greatly appreciate and I'm willing to pay more than the regular pack value because I know it's a tall order.
