Posted: 08 Jun 2020 07:13 PM PDT I've been playing this budget deck for a little while now and i've been slowly adding to it and retooling it as i get my hands on more stuff. i've had a decent amount of success and lots of fun with it but now i feel like i'm ready to give it a real face lift and make it a bit more competitive and i would love some advice Things i like about this deck: good control, tick damage is very satisfying, lack of gx's/v's makes beating it a lot slower, lots of trainers Things i dont like about this deck: can be very slow to set up, prone to bricking, low health makes one hit kills a regular occurrence ****** Pokémon Trading Card Game Deck List ****** Pokémon - 16

| Having fun with a Caturday deck Posted: 08 Jun 2020 07:56 PM PDT This one was a game-changer for my Standard play. Espurr really catches people off-guard with that Ear Kinesis attack; I just rough up their Active Pokemon with some Roxies and then Phione it to the bench. Only thing that's incomplete about this deck is, I'm trying to get another Meowstic and SOP, then swap out the Tyrogue and Chaotic Swell — but honestly, it's it's working pretty well like this. | My first event and first event win! Posted: 08 Jun 2020 09:33 AM PDT I'm new to the online game and moved from theme decks to standard decks when I got the Reshizard and Pikarom decks. I played a modded Reshizard deck and won easily. My toughest opponent was a Spiritomb deck in the first round, but had a 2-turn win in round 2 vs a Pikarom/Dedenne deck, and a really easy win in the final vs a Rillaboom/Rowlet&AE deck. I've been mainly lurking on this a a couple other Pokemon subreddits, so thanks for the help. When I checked the public trades, I wasn't able to find any ways to quickly "trade up" if that makes any sense. I'm new to tourneys so this is the only pack I have lying around right now. | Posted: 08 Jun 2020 02:01 PM PDT I've got a committed group of friends and family who are taking this foray into the game pretty seriously (much to my surprise). In preparation of the upcoming rotation, I'm looking to start crafting a Welder box deck that I can play in the meantime and then add new cards as they get released (rather not spend resources on getting cards that are going to rotate out come August). I've never played a Welder deck before (and I'm still very new to this game), but I'm wondering if something using Heatran GX, Reshiram & Charizard GX, Torkoal V, Dubwool V, and Victini V as win conditions combined with Welder to accelerate, Ninetales to gust, and Jirachi/Dedenne GX for consistency might have some legs? Since I'm looking post-rotation, I know I won't have access to Fiery Flint, Turtonator, Victini (prism), or Heat Factory. Am I headed in the right direction here? Edit: Maybe the Cinderace V/VMAX kind until then next fire VMAX cards drop? I know it's a two attack knockout, but might that be the way to go instead? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 08 Jun 2020 05:32 PM PDT Continuing the trend of disappointing the community with yet another ancient set (this time 8 years old) PTCGO goes ahead and puts Boundaries Crossed on the Versus Ladder... Last month we were at least given Rebel Clash packs as a pairing to the Xerneus GX and Diantha FA but this month's ladder rewards are the biggest joke I've seen in probably the last 4 months. Aside from the false promise of a Keldeo GX I can't think of a single card in this set that I would appreciate pulling, let alone enjoy playing; even a decent chunk of the trainers have been reprinted within the Sword and Shield format already which makes a lot of the 'staples' of this set's trainers obsolete to the avid player. I understand that we won't see any true value from these ladders until future sets rotate out of standard but if we have to wait every few months just to get the chance to earn a handful of relevant packs just because of a new set release then I sincerely hope that this client can get the funding support it truly needs to improve the overall platform very soon. As a personal suggestion; Even shortening the times between the versus reset would be a straightforward and proactive start. I personally managed to accumulate 3898 points before the ladder reset today and this was playing pretty casually over the course of the month, many times I avoided the game completely for 3/4 days at a time and still managed to rack up almost double the required points to complete the ladder. To think that if I were met with this current set of rewards (Boundaries Crossed) 15 days ago, I would be practically finished and already be thinking of the next reset with hope. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 08 Jun 2020 05:23 PM PDT I'm just thinking, this is a deck that's going to quite often be attacking for 270 damage on turn two for the cost of two energy, poison ticks can finish off those with 280. I hadn't really realized how powerful this was going to be. Getting the bench filled to 8 doesn't seem like too much of a task with the deck lists I've seen so far. I've won 5 of 6 six games I played with it only loosing to a pikarom deck after a few misplays while I learned the deck. The deck matches up well with other lists like Rillaboom V, Lapras V, and ADP. Im pretty happy with it since I've only made a few decks and it seems to be the best one.
