| New to PTCGO and need some advice! Posted: 01 Dec 2020 12:04 AM PST Well hello everyone, I am new to PTCGO and I am looking to know how the whole thing works, mainly trading and the meta. I play magic and I love control type of style of decks, I played on MTGO and MTGA and I have a feeling on how the controls and the rules work. I am watching videos and on reading some of the posts on here and /rpkmntcg. But I am looking how trading works and what is the value on some cards and what not. I seen the Public trade on Pokemon Online and I get the gist. Is trading better or do I save up coins and buy packs and try to pull the cards I want? I was hoping there was a crafting system or something but I am not seeing it . Do I save up coins and buy a them deck and enter those tournaments ? Is there a discord where I can go to? any advice is helpful and would really appreciate it. Tl;Dr: What do I use the coins for? where can I check the value of cards on PTCGO? [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 30 Nov 2020 12:36 PM PST I've been think it would be cool if they added a feature where you could swap out cards in a theme deck for the same card but the full art or holo version instead. I have a bunch of fullart Hop Ill probably never use, but I play Hop all the time in theme decks. Also rocking holo energies in a theme deck would be sick. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 30 Nov 2020 02:52 PM PST After a few weeks of trading, I've noticed it's been more difficult for me to find enough flips for me to trade off all my packs for a profit. As such, many of my packs just lie in my inventory, prone to market inflation and without much use. Is it wise to buy cards that will definitely see play(cores, staples) as a form of passive investment, so that my packs drop less in value and I can resell them later at a higher price?
