    Is Legacy broken now?

    Posted: 01 Dec 2020 07:03 PM PST

So I'm fairly casual come and go every couple months to years so I usually love playing Legacy since I already have decks built and I think the format is fun.

This time when I started playing again I noticed a new deck that's similar to old cancer decks that turbo at vileplume(item lock)and try to stall. However this one can pretty consistently get the lock in with plume, dusknoir, and gliscor. And once the lock is in place you just lose. There are no more actions that can be taken, no items, active is constantly paralyzed, and they slowly press damage to all your Pokémon until you lose. It seems like as long as they can get the lock in before you take 6 prizes you lose.

This is all to say that this deck feels like it has single handidly broken the format. The only 2 decks that can actually beat it are LMG and VGC, both pretty nice matchups actually. However anything else that I want to play since there are so many cool decks in the format auto-loses.

Sorry for my little rant, I guess I just want to know if I'm missing something, just being whiny, or if this is true?

    Concession Etiquette

    Posted: 01 Dec 2020 07:43 PM PST

I was wondering what everyone's thoughts are about conceding matches and using the available text/emoji during a match.

If my deck bricks I'll usually throw a heartbreak emoji or something out there and concede.

If we've had a pretty good match but it's apparent that I'll lose I'll usually stick it out so they can get the satisfaction of finishing a match.

Is this what people like? Would you rather someone conceded sooner into the match so that you can get on with grinding the ladder?

If someone has me beat on the next attack and they start dicking around instead of just finishing me off I'll save my own time and bounce. I'm not going to watch you dig into your deck and attach energy to your third powered up Zacian instead of just ending it.

I don't think I've ever seen the happy face emoji used in a non smug context.

Started playing about 30 minutes ago and got this bad boy... Is it rare on the online game?

Glitch? I can play the game, it only shows up with this. I've restarted my PC but it still appears. should I reinstall the game? unless there is any other ways

    Rillaboon is surprisingly good.

    Posted: 02 Dec 2020 01:57 AM PST

I've been avoiding this deck since I have Pokemon theme Meta Pyrophobia but after getting my first Grass daily challenge I decided to bite the bullet. After riding the deck into 6 win streak I was amazed at how good the deck is especially with all those 1 energy ability not just the ramp but even the heads gamble for tossing those type 2/heavy energy invested mons can turn crushing defeats into surprise victories.

EDIT: That said 2 Agility Heads in a row is still mostly GG though :P.

Lock symbol (11 packs and 5 locked?) what does this mean? Common question but I’m new to ptcgo.

    Returning player having issues.

Hi, I quit playing the game about 7 months ago due to every player I go against being a bot. I came back hoping things would have changed, but nope, every one I go against is still a bot. Is this because I instantly concede against bots? Giving me a bad rep and more likely to go against bots? I feel like that's a counterproductive punishment. Should I just keep facing these bots without conceding? Would that make me start facing actual players again?

    Matchmaking

    Posted: 01 Dec 2020 08:10 PM PST

Hey, I just started playing PTCGO 1 weeks ago & I've been wondering if matchmake bases of your win streak, how many wins you've accumulated or is neither of those a factor & you get matched with new players & exp players randomly?

    Lucmetal Zacian

    Posted: 01 Dec 2020 07:15 PM PST

I've been looking at some lists from recent tournaments on limitless and i see a lot of decks playing Agislash V but i can't figure out why. What match is this good in? Is it worth playing or is lucmetal,Z,&Z just more consistent?

Where to check relative pack values?

    Posted: 01 Dec 2020 08:36 PM PST

Many of the old card price sites would also have pack ratios. Anywhere that has that nowadays? https://ptcgoprices.com/ is great but doesn't have pack ratios as far as I can see.

    Connection loss

    Posted: 01 Dec 2020 09:53 AM PST

Lost connection in the middle of a game when I was on a 19 game with streak... Now I lost my streak. Is there no way to rejoin a game if you lose connection?
