So ive been playing for roughly a week and i want to start building a deck that is more mainstream/meta what are some options i should look into for building a deck that would be fairly quick to put together and what packs/decks should i buy to get the right cards like trainers and tech cards? I also have a few decent cards i could trade to get more but dont know there value too well any help is appreciated.

How to get to the next stage?

So I have been playing for a few days now, I picked up the leon charizard deck and I like it a lot and have been doing very well with it and have a lot of coins and dont know what to buy to move on to the next stage of the game. I was thinking of getting the Drednaw deck as well, or maybe the rillaboom deck because I got Rillaboom V from a pack (would appreciate to know if it is worth it). But after that where should I spend my coins on?

Which of these 3 have the highest value right now? Which one will decrease in value over time the least?

    New player: First impressions

I've been playing since last Friday November 27th and I currently have 1422 versus Victory points. The only other card game experience I have is Gwent and Slay The Spire.

So far I LOVE Pokémon, I've been grinding it abunch and I think I have a pretty decent deck going for me. I win most of the time and the ONLY time I lose is if someone has the Perfect Zacian/Jirachi deck, or the perfect Charizard/Leon.

I knew there would be a meta as there is with every card game and I will be the first to admit that I'm definitely complaining but sheesh I hate meta decks. I almost tagged this as a rant because it sort of is. I hated Meta decks in gwent too but way less people played them in Gwent because they weren't as strong. From what I've seen, Meta decks are FAR too powerful in Pokémon.

I know I've only played for two weeks, but I'm curious if the Pokémon meta is always this strong or if this current meta is more OP than usual? Sometimes if the first 3-4 turns have happened and they're already well set up into their little meta master plan I just forfeit because it's pointless to drag out a loss. Meta decks are so boring and brainless to me, it's so refreshing when I play someone and they have a well thought out & unique deck I haven't seen before even if they do beat me. Anyone have any tips to deal with the meta decks or any other thoughts about them?

I love the game and I'm so glad I got into it and I do still occasionally beat those meta decks but it seems rare.
