| Do you ever get frustrated by how little the game has to do with skill? Posted: 03 Feb 2021 09:23 PM PST Hear me out. I'm not saying there is no skill involved. -- I've been playing for a few months now and all this time I have been thinking a strategy game like this will be something you can play and play, learn the ins and outs, and get very good at. I'm finding that, while you can definitely increase your skills and get really "good", there is a ceiling to that. Once you are really good at the ins and outs of the game and the strategy, you're kind of capped in your ability to win. The rest is luck... and sorry... but dumb luck. If I have an electric deck and my opponent is a Coalossal deck, I have already lost I might as well concede. Great Game, that was fun. -- Just wondering if anyone else finds this frustrating. They game seems highly flawed by auto-lose matchups. Weakness is always x2? That's kind of crazy when you think about it. DOn't mean to vent and trash the game, just honesty wondering - Do you just have fun playing and hoping to get lucky? Or are you someone actually trying to improve at the game and play at a high competitive level? I feel like that high competitive level everyone is just as skilled as each other, its the luckiest person who wins. - Lucky with cards decks and with Matchups they face. [link] [comments] |

I've used about half my keys and have ~10 wins, I'm assuming I'm not in contention at that point already but honestly just curious how many points qualifies and where the top of the leaderboard is. I've been trying it, but I don't have a lot of cards for it apparently. --Which leads me to my next question: what are the best boosters I should focus on if I want to acquire a lot of Legacy cards? --Lastly, how do the events work? If I spend tickets and enter one, do all 8 players have to be online at the same time? Is it real time or does the computer play for other players? Thanks! Is there a forum or some pokemon tcg market out there where I can get a couple of decks cheap? I don't want to buy some 30dlls decks and then my kid is no interested on playing, you know. Posted: 03 Feb 2021 06:29 PM PST I only meant to buy 90, but ended up with an extra 100 (total of 190) They don't seem to be worth much trade wise and there aren't really any amazing pulls from what I can tell, what should I do with them? They won't refund me for some reason even tho I haven't scanned the codes in or done anything at all and contacted them immediately after the purchase so it's ridiculous. | Theme decks to use for challenges Posted: 03 Feb 2021 05:28 PM PST Hey all, I've only been playing for about a month and I've mostly been hanging out using theme decks. Grass: Rillaboom Fire: Relentless Flame Water: Unseen Depths (the Drednaw one is looking like a pretty nice upgrade) Electric: Soaring Storm (there might be better options, please let me know) Psychic: Relentless Flame/Laser Focus (this is one of the ones I have trouble with) Fighting: Galarian Sirfetch'd Dragon: Soaring Storm Steel: No deck for this because I haven't been given a daily challenge for this one yet Fairy: No deck for this because I haven't been given a daily challenge for this one yet Dark: No deck for this because I haven't been given a daily challenge for this one yet I'm mostly looking for theme decks for Electric/Psychic/Steel/Fairy/Dark but if there's better options for the others, I'm all ears. The next questions ties to the first, is it hard to get to 500 Ps? I am sitting on 351 but idk the best way to get some, and going on versus with a theme deck made me get my butt handed to me haha.
