    OK, so the bad news is that I didn't think of starting to track this until I hit 600 packs, so these numbers are ONLY for the last 400. Next time there's a new pack out maybe I'll track it from the start.

    So out of the last 400 packs there were:

    77 V/VMax's (of which 57 were V's and 20 were Vmax). For close to a V/VMAX for every fifth pack.

    6 FA supporters - so that is a FA supporter in only 1,5% of the packs. Also, 5 of those were variations of Mustard, curiously.

    2 SR items/energy - one Exp.share and one SR single strike energy. That's only one in every 200 packs.

    For some further info on the SR items/energies. For ALL of the 1000 packs I did NOT get any SR Level Balls at all. I got two Exp.Shares. And I think I got 2 or 3 of the SR strike energies, not completely sure as I was trading everything valuable that I pulled.

    Salamence VMAX- Bronzong - Enjoy it while Pikarom isn't on the ladder!

    Hi Everyone! Celio's Network on Youtube just posted a Togekiss VMAX/Bronzong deck, and that gave me the idea of doing it with Salamence VMAX instead. So here is an early try- deck list still a work in progress but wanted to share. Salamence is a pretty good VMAX that has good spread attacks but people haven't been playing it because of Pikarom. Salamence gets lots of goodies from Battle Styles and Pikarom isn't on the ladder a lot right now. So this deck is actually pretty decent right now. I'll put the list now, and comment on playstyle and the list after! Comments and feedback welcome!

    2. Deck concept and play

    I'll explain the deck concept in case there are people who aren't familiar with the cards.

    So with Salamence, the V has a really nice spread attack that does 30 to each Pokemon, which requires three colorless. The VMAX has two attacks, one that does 40 to 2 (one colorless), and one that does 240 (four colorless). So obviously with this you want to spread damage around, with telescopic sight being really helpful. That could mean doing 70 to every Pokemon or almost every Pokemon in your second turn or even first turn if you get a dream start.

    Now, what makes Salamence *much* better is using a Zacian-Bronzong engine. Zacian, as everyone knows, can do Intrepid Sword which lets you look at the top three cards, attach any energy you find there and keep any remaining cards. It's a great consistency booster and source of energy acceleration, and Zacian is also one of the best attackers in the game. Zacian and other metal Pokemon can benefit from Metal Saucer, which allows you to attach an energy from the discard to one of your benched metal Pokemon. To this, we add the lovely new Bronzong, which lets you move metal energy between your Pokemon as much as you like. So this means that you can get energy onto your metal Pokemon using Saucer and Intrepid Sword, and then move it onto your Salamence. Lovely! Bronzong's power can move the coating metal energy to- this does power up Salamence's attacks but it doesn't take away weakness.

    Bronzong also allows you to use the new supporter, Cheryl, which heals any evolution Pokemon completely but discards any energy attached to it. So you can move all the energy off, play Cheryl and then put the energy back on! Salamence VMAX has 320HP, so this is pretty awesome. Imagine taking 270HO from a Eternatus VMAX, healing all that off and battling on.

    A few points on play style:

    • Generally you want to go second so you can evolve Bronzong the same turn and use your supporter to chase a really strong start with at least one metal saucer attachment. This is a deck where a lot of people scoop if you set up well. It's not terrible to go first as you can always Intrepid Sword
    • You probably want to develop two Salamence. One will go first and you might not evolve it. If you can do its first attack a couple of times that will set you up in a very strong position, especially if you were able to attach telescopic sight. (If you did, that's 60 to every non-GX/V and 120 to every GX/V!) So send the Salamence up. You might want to keep spamming the first attack and then let it go down, and come in with a fresh VMAX. Or if you can find Cheryl, evolve it and heal it off. But don't rush to evolve.
    • Obviously the deck loses to lightning, and also you will probably lose to Lucmetal- their damage reduction makes your spread damage much less significant.

    3. List

    A lot to say about this list. As I said, it's a work in progress, but a few points:

    • Not sure about the single forest, but in quite a few games i find it early and this lets me discard a metal and draw a fresh one, which helps with setting up metal saucer. The deck doesn't have a load of ways of discarding energy. I would much rather have two, but the list is so tight.
    • Two Boss is far from ideal, but the deck does have pal pad to get that and Cheryl back. You might want to run Eldegoss instead. But for me, any time I run that, along with Dedene and Crobat, I just start with it.
    • The deck could use a bit more switching and one more telescopic sight, but again, the list is so tight.
    • Not sure about the search items- I have 4 quick ball and 4 Pokemon Communication. I am not a fan of Comm and could be persuaded to do 2 Comm and 2 Incense.
    • I don't have Powerful Energy in right now (which makes your colorless Pokemon do 20 more damage) because it doesn't work with Bronzong. An extra 20 damage would be pretty significant but I think I just wouldn't hit it that often if I had only one or two. I will test it with 1-2 powerful energy instead of the coating energy, but at the moment the deck is built to be more consistent.

    Anyway, that's it. Comments and feedback welcome, especially from anyone who actually tries the list!

    If chosen I'll DM you back with 10 free random white code cards (white being a HOLO, SR, FULL ART, HR, SHINING, GOLD etc.. Plus the guaranteed reverse holo they all come with. Also some are PREMIUM-PROMO codes old and new) to thin my piles as a start. The amount of codes given at once will increase as I make my decision between several individuals/couples. If I like you an feel you deserve some regardless I may give you a couple codes anyways. May be great or may not, but I have tons of green code cards as well (green being only a reverse holo or possibly a BREAK card an other etc.. at best) you may have. Some of the greens have really good trainer cards at least. Of course I will be wiping out my White Codes first as they have the most value and it is good for us both without wasting our time with unnecessary duplicates.

    All I ask is that you do not insult me or act ungrateful if you get 8 that work and 2 that have already been redeemed. Organizing the code cards isn't something I care for either way being that I do not play PTCGO. However, I still keep them for those who do play and seem to really need them. Won't ever trash another's possible treasure. I am absolutely NOT giving codes to anybody that use auto-redeeming bots or are greedy like the last individual I gave free codes to. Gave the person easily over 500+ codes that were nearly all good white backs, with him even receiving promo codes from items I bought that are exclusively only from the Pokémon Centers Site. Then dropped him 5 codes at random one day to be nice and get a reply as to whether he'd used the 50 previous codes yet so I may toss them. He went on to tell me how I had "wasted his time" with 2 out of the 5 already being redeemed... Mind that it was more like 2 out of 550+ codes but nevermind that.. That's why I'm here today looking for a new permanent receiver or receiver's.

    It takes me just as much time to type them in if not more and they're free ya know...?? Truly hurt my feelings that they'd act such a way after using my limited free time to help them build their online deck and not once did I ask for a thing in return (aside from a little nostalgia by letting me know when he got truly rare codes containing the shining Mews/Rayquazas/Jirachis etc, Golden full art energies, and prized pulls such as my Rainbow Hyper Rares/Gold Full Art Trainer and Support Acro Bike/Board/Fan an such) (Which he never did of course...).

    I'm absolutely not looking for praise but a short and sweet "Got em, thank you" copied and pasted each time is more than enough, with the occasional confirmation of a code containing any of the cards as I described above to share in the past nostalgia and excitement. Please BE SURE to let me know if you got them though, because I will usually fold those I've already sent in half together at times to lay aside until I know I can toss em; but every now and again one used may get through. That's the only reason why I may re-send you a code or 2 that you've already redeemed. If so simply let me know which were and I'll open a fresh booster or 5 to replace them in confidence. So many codes are hell to keep up with and I can't see which are redeemed or not without redeeming them myself (I do not play PTCGO but I am not 100% sure I can't check without redeeming).

    Not looking for a life's story or to play 20 Questions with anybody. Just give me a short and sweet reason through DM or Comment why I should give you the bulk of codes as a permanent receiver and I'll probably give you a code for your time regardless my decision. Of course depending on how many inquires I actually recieve. (Can't read and reward 500 messages, but will read them all for sure in time if that actually happened)

    Pack values - returning player

    I am trying to get back into the game for the third time this year, but my biggest obstacle is the value of the packs I have stored when I last played in 2020. I have a variety of:

    Unbroken bonds;
    Cosmic eclipse;
    Rebel clash;
    Darkness Ablaze.

    Which packs currently have more value? And whats is considered as currency right now?

    Hello all,

    I stopped playing ptcgo a few years ago, right around when breakthrough was coming out. Was looking to get back into it but I find myself in a catch 22.

    I cannot win a game no matter what. My cards just aren't competitive anymore, which is understandable, however I am also unable to acquire new cards. Even after losing 10+ games in a row playing expanded, I don't have enough points to buy a single booster pack.

    Playing theme decks doesn't help either because my theme decks are no longer competitive either.

    Is there something I am missing? Anyway to play against newer players? Short of buying codes irl is there anything I can do to make this experience more enjoyable?

    I've contemplated starting a new account from scratch but idk if they start you off with the newer starter decks or not?

    How to improve my Standard deck?

    So here is my current deck in standard, and although I could usually get a 3-8 win streak with this, how can I improve it without using some really expensive options(being the cards don't cost me 4-5 shining fates to get)? Thank you!

    My main goal for standard isnt for Events, just VS Ladder.
