Pokémon TCG Here, it says it’s a deck online, but when I go to redeem it on the web it only says dark hammer. Does it usually say theme deck? Does the name differ if you’re on PC?

    ADPZ ft. Kyogre

    Posted: 06 May 2021 04:34 AM PDT

Standard format deck that I put together today, and it's pretty brutal!

Ideally, I'm aiming to get ADP straight up in to the active spot to get Altered Creation (with the water energy) in there by the second turn, then by the third turn hit them with Ultimate Ray and attach the three energies to a benched Kyogre, switch ADP for Kyogre next turn and let the fun commence!

Zacian V's are mainly for support but if it all goes tits up, can end up being a life saver if switched in to the active spot; Crobat V's & Silvally GX are obviously only for their draw ability.

I'm mega happy with my build but would love some suggestions as to how it could be further improved :)

    Posted: 06 May 2021 02:08 AM PDT

For the last month I played LucMetal a lot, but I'm tired of it and I really enjoy Inteleon attack mechanic and its baby's ability. So I visited Limitless and found some decklist for ispiration and here it's my own decklist made just a hour ago. What do you guys think? I was wondering if I need to use some Pokémon Communication for some cases where you don't have the Pokémon that you need in that single moment. Any advice appreciated!

Help with standard single strike deck (no urshifu)

    Posted: 05 May 2021 11:56 PM PDT

    Hello all,

First time poster. I just recently found out about ptcgo (which is funny, as I've been playing Pokémon for nearly 25 years...not so much cards, but the games). I'm working on building a single strike deck that does not include urshifu, as I already have that one. Got some lucky pulls on a few boosters and was able to flip them for the single strike cards.

Anyway, this is what I have so far.

    Pokémon

    2xCrobat V (dark asset one) 4xHoundour (SS) 3xHoundoom (SS) 4xMankey (SS) 3xPrimeape (SS) 1xTyranitar (SS) 1xJirachi GX 1xMew (Bench Barrier)

    (19)

    Trainers

    2xEnergy Retrieval 2xEvolution Incense 2xLevel Ball 3xPoke Communication 4xSwitch 2xUrn of Vitality 1xSpikemuth (Stadium) 1xBruno 2xHop 3xMarnie 1xMilo 2xProfessor's Research 2xAir Ballon 2xScroll of Scorn

    (29)

    4xSingle Strike Energy 3xDark Energy 3xFighting Energy 2xCapture Energy

    (12)

The idea for it came from SS Primeapes ability to do 50x damage for each Pokémon with damage counters on my bench, with a possibility of 250, plus any SS Energies I have on him. So the idea I'm going for is a somewhat quick power up to Primeape, since the energy cost is only two. then start swip-swapping my mons around using Spikemuth to damage my mons. Houndoom's single strike roar to add more damage to my own mons. Mew keeps me safe from opponents damage. Tyranitar is a wall, and has definitely slowed me down. My bench also get full fast. I have run it with more spikemuths and end up with them stuck or useless.

I've play tested it a few times and got through multiple iterations and it's obvious something is off. This is the second ever Pokémon deck I've built, as I spent a majority of my time in card shops playing Yu-Gi-Oh!, and I only ever played that until recently.

What can I do with it? Is there potential for something or am I just fooling myself? Constructive feedback would be most welcome!

(Edit: I apologize for the formatting if it makes the card list difficult to read. I typed this on my phone.)

Help a newbie with standard deck

    Posted: 05 May 2021 10:03 PM PDT

I have been playing for a few weeks and have theme decks for most types to complete challenges and level up, but i wanted to change to a less theme deck format (probably standard because im scared of the other formats)

So should i buy booster packs? I have a naganadel & guzzlord tag team gx that I would like to build around, but i don't know if its worth it or what to do and don't want to waste tokens.

    Help me build a deck

Help me build a deck in TCG online:D

Hey, Today I packed a rare looking marnie card and found an offer for 27 traceable packs. So I did that, I have no idea if it was worth but I'm happy. Because I wanna made my first team and I want it to be viable. Idk the prices of cards but is there a good deck I can buy the cards for for 27 tradable packs in TCG online?

    Asking for advice.

    Posted: 05 May 2021 11:34 AM PDT

I'm very new to this world and got up to 500 coins already just to be able to buy a themed deck.

Which would be the most competitive? The most fun to play? Should I spend in some packs instead?

As a new player, I am having the hardest time choosing a deck to invest in. How do you guys pick and build?

    Posted: 05 May 2021 01:13 PM PDT

Anyone else having this problem? I don't like any of the pokemon that's being predicted as generally safe from the next standard rotation, both of the decks I am interested in building because I like the Pokemon (Mew/Mewtwo and PikaRom) are expected to die in September. I don't know what to do. Anyone got any tips or websites that can help me build a deck with cards I actually like?

Where to see theme decks news?

    Posted: 05 May 2021 07:10 PM PDT

I like jumping online whenever there's a new theme deck im interested. Any way to check that and see the cards without having to download the game?

    Will trading break the set?

    Posted: 05 May 2021 04:51 PM PDT

I just recently have purchased a Zacian V battle deck and am looking to trade some of the cards to complete my collection. Will trading some of these cards make the deck unusable? I do do versus battles from time to time so I don't want to totally lose the deck.

Since Primal Kyogre and Lapras V have big energy costs, Quagsire and frosmoth make charging a lot faster because normally charging them would be pretty slow except for Alpha Growth Primal Kyogre, which lets me put on a second energy card without frosmoth. With frosmoth, I can attach as many energy as I want. Quagsire helps with both switching pokemon and energy. If I attack with kyogre, I can attack with Kyogre again if it has 4 energy attached and Quagsire is on the bench.

Phione is there in case I get a crappy start.

I also understand that this deck has weaknesses much like any other deck. For starters, I don't have the spirit link for kyogre, making me vulnerable when I turn Kyogre into Primal Kyogre. This deck also sucks against decks full of GX and Tag team cards, but this is a casual deck. Not a competitive deck.

Mallow and Lana are on the deck in case the attacking Primal Kyogre is about to die and I have Lapras V or another Primal Kyogre ready to attack

unrelated but it feels like Giorno's theme from Jojo is about to play when I have Frosmoth, a Primal kyogre in the attack spot with full energy, Quagsire, another primal kyogre thats ready to attack, and Lapras V on the bench and I'm about to attach the vmax card for lapras.

Currently I'm working on a steel deck that uses a full art Genesect and Zacian V, but I gotta get better trainer cards for that deck. I'm also working on a Venusaur deck that isn't complete yet because I don't have a lot of good grass types.

    My PTCGO username is bunsketchuppc.

Best replacement for Yveltal GX in eternatus deck?

    Posted: 05 May 2021 10:17 AM PDT

Hi guys, I'm new here and I had a bunch of eternatus cards, so I figured I'd make my first deck around him. I built one with a yveltal GX but just realized it's not valid in standard, what's the best card to replace it with? Currently have 4 crobat, 4 zig, 1 hoopa and 4 of each eternatus.
