    Got the perfect hand today

Thanks random stranger for the best game I’ve played in a while. After all the hang up bots and nutty deck mishaps, this game was truly fun.

Respect to my fellow Meme-deck users! He won because he went second and so filled his bench first and got the first prize but also I only did 120/130 damage one turn :'(

    How do people start?

    Posted: 23 May 2021 04:03 AM PDT

I haven't played the TCG in forever, but as I toy with the game I'm struck with figuring out what I should build for if I did get back into it.

Expanded is all hyper meta stuff even in just online play with seemingly no MMR system, and Standard is impossible to build for without a money sink. Not sure what I should do.

Where and how to trade cards?

I have Urshivu V and Vmax that I want to trade for packs, now where should I be doing it, and how?

Need some on advice on what NOT to invest in

    Posted: 23 May 2021 08:28 AM PDT

So, new player here. I started recently and am stocking up on as many (Sword and Shield: Battle Styles) packs as I can. My objective is to build a decent enough deck to get into standard play. My concern is the up coming rotation (expected in Aug/Sept?)

That said, could anyone help clarify these questions?

    1. Are there any cards I should avoid investing in as they would be going out of rotation?
    2. On the other hand, should I be spending the packs I have as they might lose value once Chilling Reign comes out?

Taking these into account if anyone could recommend any standard decks i should be targeting would really help too!

    Need one code

    Posted: 23 May 2021 07:33 AM PDT

Hi there, I'd like to help a friend out with a new account, but he is not willing to buy real packs to gain a code. I'd like to ask someone if they are willing to trade a still working code for an in-game card.

Was looking for a 2nd copy to trade my original one and managed to find it about 10 packs later! Locked packs sometimes have amazing pulls :)

    First Timer (Standard)

    Posted: 22 May 2021 01:12 PM PDT

    Greetings!

I've not been playing the game for very long. I just got an email that my Inteleon league battle deck has been delivered early! (Supposed to get here Monday). After the gym I'm going home to open it up and play standard online for the first time. I've traded some packs for an extra Inteleon V and an extra Inteleon V max. I also have a Crobat V to add to the deck

I've only played theme deck format so far and don't really know what to expect from Standard. Im just gonna jump in!

I have a few questions though. Thanks in advance for any advice! It's greatly appreciated!

    1. Is there some sort of matchmaking system where I'll be matched up with other players with the same win/loss ratio?

    2. Will I mostly be running into top tier decks like ADP? Or are there players testy janky brews of their own?

    3. What cards from the preconstructed deck list should I take out for the extra V/Vmax and Crobat? And are there any other cards I should consider adding?

    4. I've heard others say that expanded would be a better format for a new player as opposed to standard. Is this true? Would an Inteleon deck work in expanded?

Thanks guys! Here's the deck list straight out of the box.

    • Inteleon VMAX ×2
    • Inteleon V ×2
    • Frosmoth ×2
    • Snom ×3
    • Inteleon ×2
    • Drizzile ×2

    • Suicune ×1
    • Air Balloon ×3
    • Bird Keeper ×2
    • Boss's Orders ×3
    • Capacious Bucket ×2

    • Marnie ×3
    • Ordinary Rod ×1

Bench protection after Mew rotates our?

    Posted: 22 May 2021 11:26 AM PDT

After the Mew with the Bench Barrier ability from UNB rotates out, will there be any way to protect benched Pokemon from attacks from cards like Rapid Strike Urshifu VMAX? If not, it seems like any Pokemon with 120HP or less is borderline unusable. What do y'all think?

    Fighting Deck

    Posted: 22 May 2021 10:21 AM PDT

My son and I are starting up Pokémon recently and we were fortunate enough to be gift a lot of basic and lower level cards. He is wanting to build a deck of fighting Pokémon and we are missing what I call "the finisher" the powerful Pokémon every deck needs to have. What Pokémon do you like for fighting type? We went out and got some cheap Machamp cards to get us started. Thanks for the help.
