This will probably be the last one since I haven't been able to find product locally for several months lol. I've got 101 codes for packs and 21 codes for promos/ETBs to give away to 2 people, 50 pack codes a piece. The winners can tell me if they want the promo/ETB codes or not, otherwise I'll just post them at a later date. To enter just leave a comment, it can say anything, no biggie. Please DO NOT enter if your intent is to resell, I want these to go to people who want to improve their decks, not make a profit. Past winners welcome. | Returning after a break and looking into next rotation Posted: 30 Jun 2021 04:54 AM PDT Hi everyone. I've been reading all sort of posts in this sub, added some blog research. But can't figure out how to aim for a strategy to begin building a new standard deck. I've always been a theme format player and never built a standard deck. So, considering some of advices people have been giving: 1- Should I buy around 25k of the newest expansion booster packs, and try to trade/open them? 2- Should I wait for new expansions coming in August and October? (Don't know how to manage this constant need of updating my future deck) 3- Any other option you may consider. [link] [comments] |

| galarian moltres v and dark claw Posted: 30 Jun 2021 01:59 AM PDT so when you use moltres's attack with dark claw (not sure if it works with other tools) and deal 210 damage (+20) you also take +20 damage yourself? the card reads "this pokemon dose 30 damage to itself" just wondering if this is some sort of rule in place for pokemon that do damage to themselves with their attacks or a bug [link] [comments] |

| Buying two of the same theme decks Posted: 29 Jun 2021 02:03 PM PDT I'm looking to get a second copy of Viridian Forest, I read through the Player Guide 2.0 here and it said buying multiple theme decks will give you duplicate copies of the cards form that deck. I just bought a second Unseen Depths but I didn't get a second VF. What did I do wrong? [link] [comments] |

| Cold Steel Deck vs. other decks Notes and tricks! Posted: 29 Jun 2021 01:06 PM PDT https://www.reddit.com/r/ptcgo/comments/o90z3l/ice_rider_calyrex_with_metagross_v_deck_the_cold A few days ago I released one of the most consistent, flexible, and strongest deck I've made called the Cold Steel deck, check the link above. I've been continuing to play with this deck having an 80% winrate at the moment of making this thread. I've noticed a lot of patterns on how people play certain decks so I will document the notes I've observed these pass few days on how to counter these decks using the Cold Steel deck. Few notes:
Any fire deck: This one is easy, just don't bring out any Metagross on the bench and use those cards as sacrifices for the king by using them on quick balls or Viridian Forest. With Ice Rider Calyrex and the Inteleons should be enough to dominate a fire deck. ADP: Threaten them with your Metagross Vmax as early as your second turn. Assuming you have a good hand this is how you should proceed. If you move next after your opponent: First turn put Sobble on the active, give him water energy and use 'Keep Calling' to bring out as many Sobbles and Metagross on the bench, Sobble is priority. If you have Energy Spinner this turn, go ahead and grab a metal energy and a few water energy. Leave 1 metal energy in the deck in case you get Marnie'd. For your next turn, you will need to retreat Sobble to the bench putting that water energy to the discard pile and switching it with Metagross V. Then use Melony to attach that water energy to Metagross V. Find a metal energy to attach to Metagross V if you don't already have one (this can be achieved by using Viridian Forest, energy spinner, Melony draws, dedechange, or evolving into Drizzle and getting the forest or spinner that way. This deck has a lot of ways to get the card you need) Now find a Metagross Vmax if you already don't have one in your hand (You can get one using evolution incense, computer research, evolving into Drizzle to get one of the two, or dedechange.) Once you're all set, use Max Rush to the ADP or whoever they have on their bench. Dealing 100 damage causing your next attack to deal 250. This will threaten the ADP of dying next turn if they waste their turn using ADP GX move. Zacian cannot one shot Metagross Vmax with it's Brave blade, so what can they do? They will either need to use Bosses orders on you or use an Escape rope but there's only Sobbles/Drizzle on your team so it's chill. On your next turn, do it again. This way, you will lock the enemy on using ADP GX move with your constant threat of dealing 250 damage. Do not bother on Calyrex Vmax for now because Zacian can easily one shot it due to being weak to steel. Single Strike Deck: Kill houndors first! Water Decks: Kill Snoms first! Will update this post more the more I encounter frequently used decks! [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 29 Jun 2021 10:19 PM PDT Sobble pulls out the others with its attack Drizzile pulls out the others with Level Ball from Shady Dealings Inteleon pulls out the Quick Shooting ones with Evolution Incenses from Shady Dealings Sure, it takes up bench space but the whole thing tutors itself and thins your deck, while doing up to 60 damage a turn. I've been playing quite alot but am having trouble getting cards. All my local store here wont let me buy more then 1 pack a day, walmart/target have scalpers waiting to buy all the good stuff and honestly the prices are just too high for me to continue buying them off facebook marketplace, are there any promotional codes released by pokemon on like twitter or anywhere where I can get packs? I just wanna be able to build a couple of decks that are competitive so I can enjoy the game a little bit more. Thanks in advance for any advice! [link] [comments] |
