    Well I just got scammed..

    Posted: 28 Jun 2021 08:19 AM PDT

Today Kinny learnt apparently there's multiple variations of coins and gameplay items that the game trade system does nothing to differentiate between.

Long story short, I had Ice Rider VMAX, was looking for Shadow VMAX, saw some dude offering a "Green Rayquaza coin" for my Ice rider, did a search for the coin, found somebody ELSE offering a Shadow Rider V and a VMAX for what LOOKED like the exact same "Green Rayquaza coin".. Yeah turns out it's not the same and the coin I'm now sitting with is actually worthless..

Anybody else had this happen to them? Any idea on how to differentiate between these items and avoid this in the future?? They had the exact same name and image, what else could I have checked? =/

I need advice building a deck.

    Posted: 28 Jun 2021 08:47 AM PDT

Hello and thanks for taking the time. Recently my little brother has gotten back into collecting Pokemon cards and has been going pretty ham on it. About a month ago i noticed that he had like over 60 code cards. I asked if i can use them and so we did. I downloaded the game again to my pc and we redeemed everything, fun times all around.

Normally i dont play TCG games because they tend to be a tad bit expensive but it would seem that i have a rare opportunity to build myself a Meta deck and have fun with it.

My questions are what is current top meta deck and how expensive is it to build them?

Back when i played this game online a i could trade a whole pack or two for any one single card. I have no idea how it works now tho.

I was kinda interested in this VICTINI deck i saw or maybe the RAPID STRIKE URSHIFU? How hard will it be to build these decks online? and how long will they stay meta? I think i am sitting at around 90+ code packs of the latest set. Thanks in advance for the feedback.

    Plasma Blast

    Posted: 28 Jun 2021 12:02 AM PDT

I have a booster box worth of Plasma Blast codes and I was wondering if it's worth opening them? Not really too sure if the cards in it are worth anything any more.

Which packs do you spend your coin on?

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 10:53 PM PDT

Wondering what you guys spend your coins on? Is it smart to be buying and opening booster packs?

Should I be only going for chilling reign or does it depend on what cards I'm looking to pull?

    Counters for Blissey V?

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 04:22 PM PDT

I've been coming up this deck quite a bit and Blissey V + cape of toughness is tough to beat. What do you use to counter it?

Advice / Next move - Been playing around a week / 2 weeks now looking for people’s opinions

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 04:44 PM PDT

Basically never learnt to play as kid, did any of us?, so since the McDonalds Promo came to UK I was collecting them and delved deeper (help!) so basically as title says

I've been playing a week / just under 2 week, got the 500 Coins to unlock my first deck and chose the Unseen Depths deck after a quick scout on Reddit / YouTube, I'm really enjoying it and how it works compared to Mental Might which I found a dreadful deck from my lacking experience and now have been playing in versus mode and made my way up and got again back to 600+ coins. Before I make a complete mistake I wondered what's the best move from here?

I currently have like I said just over 600 coins

    7 Tickets

272 lightning bolts in versus rewards so far⚡️ (unsure on how to see stats) newbie

Additionally against the computer Trainers on the Gold tournament I've beat all 12 trainers with the Unseen Depths deck and 4 Gold Star the first 7 with the free Crushing Current, Hidden Depths and Born Of Fire.

    Thank in advance - TX18

    Deck list sharing

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 12:37 PM PDT

Why do people turn off deck list sharing? It really irks be since a lot of times I'll play against creative decks and want to see what makes them tick and when the game is over, lo and behold, the deck is private. What do you lose from sharing deck lists/what do you gain from making them private? I cannot comprehend any reason to make a deck private.

Ice Rider Calyrex with Metagross V deck! The Cold Steel

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 09:57 AM PDT

This deck I've created revolves around the usefulness of Melony, the Sobble line, and Viridian Forest.

Ice Rider Calyrex is no doubt an excellent card, needing only 2 energies to deal an optional neutral 250 damage as early as your second turn is nothing to laugh at. This can potentially get you easy quick wins if you have a good starting hand. As for the long run, we have Metagross Vmax and Inteleons to siege an attack while the king rest and readies it's next spear.

In this deck, Viridian Forest is used to discard your water energies to pull out another water energy from your deck. Then using Melony to attach the discarded energy and the pulled energy to your Pokemon. Additionally, Melony draws you 3 more cards after it's used.

Grabbing energies from the deck is crucial hence the addition of bucket and energy spinner.

When the game starts, a safer strategy is to start with Sobble on the active and use 'Keep Calling' to bring out 2 more sobbles in the bench as well as our other Rapid Strike Pokemon in this deck: Metagross V

Metagross Vmax is the decks vanguard. Charging first in the battlefield with it's bulk when Sobble retreats discarding it's water energy. You can use Melony to add that water energy back to Metagross and giving it only 1 metal energy via Viridian forest or energy spinner if you already don't have one in your hand. With this, you're ready to threaten enemies with your 'Max Rush' that scales per turn.

The battlefield isn't complete without the archers. Supporting in the sidelines, the Sobble line ensures you have the trainer cards you need on your turn with Drizzle as well as chipping off or finishing enemies with Inteleons 'Quick Shooting'

Rule the battlefield with this deck and let them feel the Cold Steel of your army!

How do I get different coins for my deck?

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 12:49 PM PDT

I've been playing for a bit and noticed players with different coins for their deck. I'm aware of the coins you get as rewards for leveling up, but I don't know if that's how people are getting some of the cooler coins such as the Mew and Hydreigon coins. How do I get these? Do I have to buy the deck builders for 500 Pokécoins, or do I get them some other way?

    Returning Player Questions

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 03:32 PM PDT

I am interested in getting into the Pokémon TCG through the online client but I have a couple questions:

    1. What is the best way to buy packs because I would assume buying IRL packs and using the codes is not the most cost effective?

    2. What is the best resource to learn about the current metagame?

    3. Anything else I should know as a returning player? I played a bit during the XY era so I generally remember the rules but I primarily played casually and used the codes from IRL packs that I opened?

    Trading

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 11:56 AM PDT

Hello everyone I'm super new to the online TCG game. I've never played Pokémon TCG but have been a collector for a very long time. I think it's super fun and easy to learn. I'm not sure if I understand the trading. Are there sources that usually state what's the trade value? In example, if I wanted to trade a Shiny Charizard V from champions path how would I determine what should be received for the Charizard?
