Posted: 13 Feb 2020 06:10 AM PST Call me a masochist, but I really hate using GX cards in my decks, but my current deck just doesnt really seem to have the killing power to fell tag team mon's with ease (I'm running the swampert from one of the theme decks). So, as the title states, are there any decks people have been using that dont rely on theme decks at all? Posted: 13 Feb 2020 09:24 AM PST LF: interesting deck ideas O: possibly interesting deck ideas 😂 My feelings in the run up to sword and shield being released, were of great excitement, it seemed like there would be so many decks being revived by the new search cards, plenty of support for single-prizer's again, and of course- all new V types with their own thing going on! I think the standard ptcgo meta was in an okay state already, before release that is, maybe cycling between 3-5 common opponents at a high ELO, namely ADP Keldeo, Perfection Box, Malamar, and GiraChomp, with ADP Keldeo being over saturated. So here we are now, with all the V cards/New deck archetypes, and decks to revive- there's so much variety in deck building now! So What's everyone playing for fun tho? Because I know we all want the wins, and there's a clear canine BDIF to play if you just want to steam roll through people, so what's everyone playing around with when their not playing baby blowns or Zacian V? -in all seriousness on that last note, is anyone seeing any other decks? I think I'm seeing more baby Blowns decks than anything else right now😂 I've been trying to make the best Frosmoth water box that I can, and have several versions, magcargo GX has become really fun again, of course, Sableye goons HAD to be tried out, haven't had much success with it tho. My next project may be a Silvally GX memory deck (with mini beasts), the standard memory tools seem relevant again, but ramble over, I'd love to here what y'all playing! [link] [comments] |
| Toasty Tortoise: Fun with Torkoal V in Standard (Decklist) Posted: 13 Feb 2020 04:30 AM PST Torkoal V is a surprisingly capable card that syngergizes well with Magcargo from CES, as well as Oranguru from the same set. Being able to swing for 180 by discarding fire energies from the top of the deck is pretty potent, and he's fairly easy to set up too, thanks to welder. Not to mention his HP is pretty high for a basic V, and he can take Buff Padding, so he can weather pretty much everything but Lapras/Water-types.
