Is there any way we can request official iPhone support for PTCGO? Its literally a one digit change in the IPA file!

    Posted: 15 Dec 2020 11:27 PM PST

It's 2020... iPhone screens are perfectly capable of playing PTCGO comfortably.

It's really lame having to jailbreak my iPhone JUST for this one game. Especially when all that's required to get it to run is:

    1. Downloading the iPad app with iTunes
    2. Opening it with WinRAR and pulling out \Payload\pokemontcg.app\Info.plist
    3. Changing the UIDeviceFamily key from 2 to 1 with a plist editor
    4. Putting the plist file back in
    5. Installing the app on your iPhone

Plus, you have to do this every time there's a new update. Everything works fine, its literally an arbitrary restriction for no reason.

I have saved up packs for 1 month and finay got 80 packs to try and get this good-looking milotic deckbox and sleeve (milotic is my favorite pokemon), but no luck. Any ideas on how much the sleeve and deck box go for ?

    Best Relentless Flame counter?

    Posted: 16 Dec 2020 01:35 AM PST

I'm planning to play a lot of Theme events soon so I'm wondering which one should I take? My main goal is to counter all the Relentless Flame decks that I'd encounter

Unseen Depths or the new Dreadnaw theme deck?

    Update Bug?

    Posted: 16 Dec 2020 02:30 AM PST

Anybody not able to start the game? I get a short fullscreen window with the text "Checking for updates", then a small window that supposedly loads the new version. When I click the button "play" in that window, the game starts and goes right back to updating.

    Old school ptcgo question

Is there an enhanced version for the VIV charizard theme deck?

    Posted: 16 Dec 2020 03:18 AM PST

I am two weeks into Pokemon TCGO and I recently bought the Charizard Vivid Voltage theme deck, I was going to look for competitive standard decks, but they're quite expensive. I talked to a streamer and he told me that the Charizard theme deck is really great, but it needs some refinement. Do you guys have a decklist for that or some tips on what to trade for in order to build my deck? Thanks in advance

EDIT: kinda good to start with

    2.76 Patch Notes | Dec. 15, 2020

    Posted: 15 Dec 2020 02:14 PM PST

On December 15, 2020 the Pokémon TCG Online was updated to version 2.76. Changes in this version include:

    • Beast Ball (CES #125): The Prize card shuffle animation no longer shows them being returned to the deck.

    • Cinderace VMAX (RCL #36, 194): Counter will no longer do increased damage if Cinderace VMAX leaves play after taking damage from an attack during the opponent's last turn and is then put back into play on it's owner's turn.

    • Exeggutor (HS #18): Energy Absorption no longer requires the maximum amount of available Energy to be chosen.

    • Gladion (CIN #95, 109): The Prize card shuffle animation no longer shows them being returned to the deck.

    • Jellicent (NXD #35): Vengeful Wish will no longer do damage if Jellicent leaves play after taking damage from an attack during the opponent's last turn and is then put back into play on it's owner's turn.

    • Magnezone (PLS #47): Double Assist can now attach Energy cards to the Active or Benched Pokémon.

    • Pidgeot-EX (EVO #64, 104): Mirror Move will no longer do damage if Pidgeot-EX leaves play after taking damage from an attack during the opponent's last turn and is then put back into play on it's owner's turn.

    • Rufflet (DRX #111): Chirp no longer allows Pokémon LEGEND pieces to be chosen.

    • Sudowoodo (LOT #110): Reply Strongly will no longer do increased damage if Sudowoodo leaves play after taking damage from an attack during the opponent's last turn and is then put back into play on it's owner's turn.

    • The Masked Royal (CES #139): This card no longer ignores effects that prevent a Pokémon from having Energy cards attached to it from the hand.

    • Victini V (SSH #025): Spreading Flames no longer requires the maximum amount of available {R} Energy to be chosen.

    • Wailord V (CPA #013): Draw Up no longer requires the maximum amount of available {W} Energy to be chosen.

    • Welder (UNB #189, 214): This card no longer ignores effects that prevent a Pokémon from having Energy cards attached to it from the hand.

    • Zinnia (DRM #64, 70): This card no longer ignores effects that prevent a Pokémon from having Energy cards attached to it from the hand.

    • Deck stats should now be consistently updated after each match. Emote text codes typed into search fields should no longer be rendered as the emote image, rather than being treated as plain text.

    • When both players mulligan, the first player to draw a Basic Pokémon is now consistently shown the opponent's previous opening hands before to choosing their Active Pokémon.

Information relayed from the Pokemon Forum here.

[Expanded] Huge push for fighting archetype

    Posted: 16 Dec 2020 12:08 AM PST

After an abstinence of 4 years or so I recognized a huge power creep in regular (Regular Ex / Gx compared to TagTeam and Vmax). I used to play back in the time Turbo Darkrai. but with that high amount of HP it's not easy enough anymore to be T1 with that deck. Also i found out that there are [[Dark Patch]] - Cards for more other energy types. In addition for fighting types they released some how 2-3 new special energie types wich increases the Dmg( first ever darkness energy only provides +10 lol) ! It's ridiculous how many support fighting types are being pushed (look at the preview of the new set)

    Luc/Metal Deck questions

    Posted: 15 Dec 2020 09:34 PM PST

I'm relatively new to the game and I'm branching out a bit to make some more decks to play.

So far I've played Centiskorch vmax, pikarom, charizard/reshiram, and adpz.

    Any tips for running/building Luc/Metal?

Care to share lists you've had success with?

I've found a few lists on YouTube and a few from the weekly tournament lists as well. Just curious to see what you guys are working with as well.

    Thank you!

    is Grimmsnarl V broken?

    Posted: 15 Dec 2020 09:29 PM PST

Just played a game versus one tonight, and he kept hitting me with the attack that says you are supposed to put 2 Dark Energy from it into your hand, and he never did. 4 turns in a row, after getting a 4th dark energy on, he hit me, didn't remove energy, then again, and again and again.

I kept looking to see if there was anything in play that would cause it, and didn't see anything. What was I missing?

Played against a deck with seemingly only blastoise and pipup gx cards. The gx card could fully heal each turn. How did they accelerate the 3 water energy at the start?

    Posted: 16 Dec 2020 01:24 AM PST

I already traded for the gx card, but I don't know to accelerate putting the initial 3 water energy to get set up. I do know about rough seas stadium card for after setup healing. I am new to pctgo as you can tell haha.

Future alternative method to get cards?

    Posted: 15 Dec 2020 03:34 PM PST

What are you opinions on being able to purchase individual cards using the coin currency already in game? So that if you grind out coins, you can use those to get individual cards straight from the game. I personally think it would be good because it still wouldn't let people use actual money to buy coins and you would have to play lots in order to afford the cards. I find the method of trading packs pretty annoying so just brainstorming

What theme deck should i buy from generations 7.

    Posted: 15 Dec 2020 06:21 PM PST

I have already bought clanging thunder and rock steady. what is a good deck that i can also buy, I thought about soaring storm but the only reason i want that is because i like the pokemon dragonite but the card is not that good and the rest of the deck is also not really great so what theme deck should i buy.

Thinking about buying the cards to build an Eternatus Vmax deck, not sure if I should anymore with the Urshifu cards coming out

    Posted: 15 Dec 2020 10:46 AM PST

I've been putting some money and I'm planning on buying the cards to build myself a solid deck. After looking at a lot of the more prevalent decks, I decided on Eternatus Vmax, mainly because it won't be rotating out for a long time and it seems very good fundamentally. I'm starting to question this decision though, as it looks like there's some new Urshifu cards coming out with the new set, and I've seen a lot of people saying it has potential to completely kill the Eternatus archetype. Any input on whether or not I should look into other decks like Centiskorch or just stick with Eternatus?

    Pull rates for online packs

    Posted: 15 Dec 2020 02:12 PM PST

Does anyone have info on what the pull rates are like for the online packs?

I'm sure others feel this way too but, I feel like I rarely pull anything.

I often trade my packs for singles.

When I decide to open some I usually won't even pull a single ultra rare.

Opened 10 darkness ablaze last week and 10 today. Not a single vmax, v, ultra. Etc
