I encountered this Falinks V deck in expanded and it completely destroyed my Nuzzle Raichu deck. Just to stay competitive (since I want to have fun lol), I'm now willing to buy SHF code cards to complete my new deck but I'm not sure where to reliably get them for a fair price. I assume i would need a deck that can ohko Togekiss Vmax (310hp) or make them unable to use max potions. Irritating pollen comes to mind, do people know which decks would be suitable? | back after not playing for 5 years, have no deck to play Posted: 03 Mar 2021 09:21 AM PST I haven't played the game since the XY primal rage came out, so I got back into the game, and all my decks are now obviously "outdated" and cannot be played in the standard mode. I have got some cool legendaries, but they're still not enough to battle players in the expanded decks battle: they keep destroying me, like, in one move. I'm now lost on what to do, I have only 100-something coins which cannot even afford me a single booster, and I already have battled the NPC trainers long time ago, so is there no way for me to build a deck now besides buying deck codes on the internet? | Posted: 03 Mar 2021 08:27 AM PST Hi everyone! Your only win condition is having good hands and turbo boost your "carry Pokémon" with energy or evolutions before than your oponent. I don't find any skill strategy at all (less same few baits), you just have to drew cards like an ape to find your best choices to just one-shot all the rivals Pokémon. It's competitive scene like that? Meta decks with EX and GX Pokémon haves this playstyle, or is just unbalanced? Also I don't see anybody streaming PTCGO or there is very little information of this game (like theme decks tier lists, videos, news, etc), seems like TCG players gave up this game. I want to play the game because I love Pokémon since I'm a child, but it seems like the game doesn't want me to play it :( [link] [comments] |

| Newish to the game and would love some deck building tips Posted: 03 Mar 2021 01:23 AM PST (Posted also to another TCG reddit, I really need help though) Hi all, I'm really not sure where else to ask as none of my friends are into this. I had collected the physical cards for a while cause I like collecting. I recently decided to start playing the game online so I have everything scanned in. I have quite a few cards and am trying to make a great fire deck. This one seems to be winning me about 3/10 games which I don't think is bad considering I don't know much about the game. Just thought I would post it and people could hopefully tell me all the things I'm doing wrong and maybe some cards I should definitely get. I don't mind putting some money into this so if there are certain cards I'll definitely go buy some packs or whatever to try and grab those needed cards. Just would really appreciate any help at all. I guess I'll talk a bit how I've been finding it. I have a few seeker cards so for the most part I have no problems getting the pokemon I want out on my bench. A real pain is getting 5 energy on the M-EX-Charizard and being able to do any amount of damage. Usually they have it damaged enough, he will one hit something also doing 50 damage to himself and they will finish it off. I am usually pretty good for energy though another 1 or 2 mightn't hurt. I'm not sure where the best to be there is. I have also found over about 30 games I barely have used Drampa, Ninetales or Camerupt. Dragonite and Volcanion get a little use. [link] [comments] |

I'm essentially brand new to playing the TCG (just started playing like last week but have been collecting on and off since around 2012 but never tried playing the game) and I recently began playing the TCGO, primarily the online Theme Deck battles. Managed to pick up a Vivid Voltage Charizard theme deck and have been playing that (and am aware it's a very good theme deck). Through my playing, I've gotten a pretty good feel for the deck and have also gotten some event tickets. Do you all think it's a good idea for me to try and enter into theme deck tournaments when possible or wait a little while before trying them? Any feedback is greatly appreciated- thanks!
