Turn 1 decks, how common are they?

So I just started playing expanded a few days ago, and twice now I've played against these crazy turn 1 decks with the Unowns and fast raid/plus power etc. How common are these decks? I'm all for gamesmanship but this doesn't even seem like it would be fun to run for someone who genuinely enjoys the game.

What Happens With Evolving Skies Codes Right Now?

I have some Evolving Skies packs from my build and battle kit, and haven't redeemed them yet.

What will happen to them? Will they be locked until August 27th, can they be traded? Can they be cracked? If they can, can I use the cards?

Why can't I play my deck in Standard tournaments?

Each time I try to get into a standard tournament, it just says "cards from the newest set aren't tournament legal until they've been out for 3 weeks. You'll be able to play with this deck soon, but for now, you'll have to pick a different deck." Which cards in my deck are causing this problem??

Card Idea

Type: Grass
HP : 190
Retreat cost : 2
Weakness: F

Ability: Wimp out
If this pokemon has 15 or more damage counters on it, discard thss pokemon and all cards attached to it

1st attack : First Impression 10+ [c]
If this the first turn of the game and you went second, this attack does 160 more damage

I had this card idea because post rotation going 1st huge very huge
So if you could punish that by dealing half the Vmax HP as damage, you can have a chance
(I think this is how it should be, the player going first gets the first energy attachment and evolution but the player going second should be able to get the first attack)
I did not want to to do 180 damage as it really punishes crobat/eldegoss start
Any deck that can accelerate energy (shadow rider, ice rider, Ray Vmax, Sirfetch V )
Any deck that has 1 energy attack but on Vmax (RS Urshi VMax)
Any deck that can preserve energy with EXP.Share (Victini VMax)
should be able to use it half the time
After the first turn it is a liability, so i gave it the 'wimp out' ability which also suits the card
How is the card, do you think its broken or do you think it will see no play

(I know the card makers dont use this subreddit but isnt it fun to just go along and come up with cards)

SR Quick Ball

Hi guys. PTCGO Zone says 1 SR Quick Ball is worth 100+ packs…but it doesn't give exact. So is 1 SR for 90 packs worth it?

Do they ever balance theme decks?

I'm new to this game, and I'm wondering if they ever balance the theme decks.

Soaring Skies is just so much stronger than the other decks (and doesn't have any strong deck that exploits its weakness types), that the theme tournaments get pretty boring.

Do they ever tweak the decks to nerf them? Or alter the cards to improve balance? Or do I just have to accept if I play theme tournaments, I will play Soaring Skies every time?

i am reading though the terms of service.

selling cards irl (like from my deck to someone elses is fine)

but tcg online Terms of Use

section 11 goes over virtual content

it states that virtual content obtained via the services is provided to you under a limited, personal, revocable, non -transferable, non sublicensable licence to use within the service.

they are saying that any digital item is under this licence such as a card or sleeve ro deck box ect.

and that that item is non transferable.

so wouldn't trading in the game violate section 11?

moving on to section 12 they go on to say that virtual content can be purchased ( not licenced? )

so the licence of virtual products can't be sold for money. but the digital product can be (not licenced but sold) then after that they are given 0 market value? but what about the card with the code on it?

according to there terms of service i should be able to ask pokemon international to purchase 10,000 codes for no cost. and i would then own the digital items when redeeming the code.

or am i misinterpreting?
